Queen's Blade - Rurō no Senshi

Description: Plot is really not going to matter here. Tournament, chicks fight, often borders (or crosses into) hentai. Based on a hentai manga series and tabletop game.

Cast: Along with the quality of the animation, this is where the series really shines.

And that's just the first episode, there are several more prominent seiyuu (see ANN link below). How they were all coerced into doing this, I can only guess.

Subs are watchable, but given how threadbare the plot is, it really doesn't matter. Audio is fine, visuals could be better, but that's probably the quality of the raw.

Pretty visuals, good animation, good fights, highest concentration of ecchi I have ever seen that was somehow allowed to be broadcast over cable/satellite. Usually this kind of stuff can't make it into OVAs.

The voice cast was indeed the only really interesting thing about it. Otherwise it was so bad I probably wouldn't have watched this first ep till the end. I found even Ikkitousen to flow much better. I suppose one of the major problems was that there was a whole bunch of bare chested women thrown in without any sense of who and what they are and what they are aiming at. Now, I don't belong to those who need everything explained, but this could have had a more constructive beginning. Though since I doubt there is anything to explain in this series nor do I expect the characters to really have any background, maybe that's a completely moot point.

Too bad I'm such a fan of Ayako Kawasumi that I will probably force myself to keep watching... What comes to her, in the end after Kanokon I doubt any role short of actual hentai is too perverted for her. Good (?) to see Aya Hirano is no different...

I too sampled the lovely boobage of this show, not much to say other than I predict this show will work for me until I get tired of the girls outfits and personality archetypes. Since the plot is more or less non existent I'll just focus on them.

My favorite overall would have to be Claudette with Risty as a close second, I've always been drawn to the more experienced and world savvy types as opposed to the idealistic inexperienced types. For outfits I also liked Claudette's the best, though Elaina's wasn't too shabby either. Reina's family armor was just too absurd for me to suspend my disbelief though. I could just barely handle Claudette's plate mail bra but a plate mail one piece constricting Reina's generous and I'm sure quite sensitive breast meat...it was just too much to bear. Melona looked just plain creepy which was made even worse by her penchant for spurting things out her breasts which I was rather uncomfortable with. Risty's outfit just seemed too plain to counter how unrealistic it was. The others all had oddly placed metal to try and enhance their cool factor but Risty's garment seems made purely of cloth which just didn't do as much for me, which is a shame as I think her body could be quite flateing on its own or in different attire to accent her best features.

As for the voices, Nanael reminded me fondly of Minato from Akane-Iro which was a plus but she seems to have been cast as the butt monkey and I have a hard time liking butt monkey's since they are rarely allowed to crawl out of the hole the plot forces them into. The only other voice I was used to enough to detect was wrathful loli and she helped make Melona that much creepier so props to her. The rest of the cast may be famous but as I don't typically listen for voices I didn't really notice if I'd heard them before.

ug. what was up with all that heavy censorship in the episode? I hope they start to lay-off that a bit or else I might just have to wait for the dvds.

it.. it wasn't really what I was expecting at all. bits and pieces were, but the whole focus on boobs is a pretty big turn away. like, i thought they were just gonna be girl knights dressed skimpily. not focus all of their fighting on boobs and attack with the boobs. that's just too much.

Okay, I heard that there was smut in this, and since I am a smut fan, I couldn't resist downloading it. There was still a little skepticism lingering in my mind since Kraco said it's worse than Ikkitousen, and I thought Ikki was a bland, boring, and crappy anime.

At the beginning I loved the violence. It seemed like a more sexually 'charged' version of Elfen Lied. I mean her breast was cut open? Someone already pissed their pants? Damn. At the moment 'plot' and character motivations didn't seem to be important. So far it was just fast paced bloody and perverted violence of the Gantz variety, that I like. And then they went to some palace and it got BORRRINGGG and the animation quality got crappier than Strawberry Panic. That was my cue to fast forward and look for some more ecchi, of which there wasn't much except for exploding breasts.

Leaving her walking around in ropes was meh for me, it doesn't leave much to the imagination. The crotch shots and dominant figures in this anime made me laugh. At least in hentai there is something satisfying like molestation. I would call this ecchi rather than smut, smut at least has good character development. :[

The voices and soundtrack seems so out of place with all these boobs. Plot-wise, this reminds me of the recently ended Koihime Musou, with big-breasted women wandering warring territories without much storyline to boot.

I might keep watching this just to see where it goes, but it is barely engaging. As Sapphi said, hentai is more satisfying. . I'd be awesome if they could make them with these production values though .

You've got to have something to look at. Everyone dropped Rosario + Vampire 2 when every channel started censoring the stuff. I imagine much the same would happen if it happened here, even with good cast and music (well, okay music, yet to be very impressed by it).

You know what, this episode was actually enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, it still had its fair share of breasts and thighs, but as parts of grabs and bondage moves rather than actual attacks. Boob cannon was replaced by the more conservative clothe-stripping saliva, and at least Mikos don't piss themselves (seriously, what was with that?).

The "HD" visual posted was crap, but story-wise was fairly alright. I might actually be able to take this show seriously if they manage to keep the nudity scenes on a level below ridiculous.

Demonic Ninja girl overtook Sister-complex 3rd princess now. Ninja/Miko fetish this episode. Elf ones next.

The first ep had some ridiculous boobage, the second had some good story, while this tried mixing them both. I can't say they did a very good job of it, nor do I understand why they let Reina go after going through the trouble of "capturing" her. I swear she just wanted to molest someone.

Reina is such a snivelling, whining child I hope she dies soon so the series can shift focus to Shizuka, the demon-horned ninja. She's a much more likable character, even if Tomoe (the shrine maiden) is a bit of a prude.
