I thought the obvious solution was to swap roles, but seeing them play their designated parts by mimicking each other's style is much more fun.

That was a pretty fun ep.
I'm glad the story writer didn't feel that the girls had to necessarily stuff up like Mio did in the first live, and artificially do something klutzy to pull it off. Yui playing the sexual predator was just a step above her usual her usual Azy-nyan attachment, so it was both fitting and out-of-the-ordinary at the same time.
Too bad there wasn't much room for Mugi to shine, but I guess she had her turn last time. She seems to have the least turns though.
I can't wait to see their costumes next week.

Mio was right, it was most definitely their best performance ever. Even if some of Yui's MCing seemed to go off-track, it contained everything that needs to be there.
Only thing is that I'm not a big fan of Fuwa Fuwa Time, but they always use it as filler. I guess it's their debut song, so it can't be helped.
Rice is a Dish and U&I were fun to hear.

Leave it to K-ON to have more talk than music even when they are performing as a band... While Yui's MCing obviously needed to be there, it was greatly stretched for sure. But like I said, I haven't expected this music themed series to actually have music for a long time. It's a little disappointing, but it can't be helped.

Lol, i actually enjoyed this week's episode
Coalguys - Episode 22

When a K-ON episode consists of such bleak colours, you know it's time to get depressed.
How is it that their graduation is more depressing than my own? Poor Azu-nyan.
I would hug her if I could.

It's somehow strange they didn't strive to acquire new members. Of course it was very much the band of these particular five. You could say it wasn't actually a club but indeed a band and so acquiring new members wouldn't have been even natural. But it also means Azu-nyan will have little to do during her senior year. I guess she can study twice as hard without the club practices.
This second season has been quite tedious in my opinion. To be honest I had to struggle to stay awake during this episode. I didn't feel Bill's sadness about their graduation because I was too annoyed by Azusa's hesitation to give them the cake.
I actually like the second season more than the first, since it has the small details that are quite well done. The jokes (that didn't exist in the latter half of the 1st season) were pretty funny if not hilarious, and the story moved forward.
Azu-nyan can just recruit members in her senior year. If they already know how to play then Azu-nyan should still be able to perform a few times before she graduates, and also leave a legacy with new band members.
Peace.
I liked the 2nd season a lot more. There's a much bigger focus on Yui this time around than Mio. Though I do like Mio's character design, Yui is by far the more interesting and funny character.
When did Yui and Ritsu start playing the twin-baka roles?
I thought that's when the jokes really it.

It is easy, without Yui and Ritsu screwing it up. Scaring possible members with random mascot costumes is not a good recruitment strategy.
Peace.
