New show, Castle, starts tonight at 10pm EST on ABC.

The show stars Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Drive, Desperate Housewives) and Stana Katic (24, Heroes, Quantum of Solace, The Spirit).

Wildly famous mystery novelist Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) is bored with his own success. Then he learns that a real-world copycat killer has started staging murder scenes depicted in his novels. Castle is questioned by NYPD Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), a bright and aggressive detective who keeps her investigations under tight rein. Though they instantly clash, sparks of another sort also begin to fly, leading both to danger and a hint of romance as Castle steps in to help find the killer. And once that case is solved, he and Beckett build on their new relationship as they look to solve more strange homicides in New York - as much fun as one can have with death and murder.

Castle is kept grounded by his Broadway diva mother, Martha Rodgers (Susan Sullivan), and quick-witted teenage daughter Alexis (Molly Quinn). Also starring in the series are Ruben Santiago-Hudson as NYPD Captain Roy Montgomery, Tamala Jones as Medical Examiner Lanie Parish, Jon Huertas as NYPD Detective Javier Esposito and Seamus Dever as NYPD Detective Kevin Ryan.

"Castle" is produced by ABC Studios. Andrew Marlowe (writer, "Air Force One") serves as executive producer/writer, along with executive producers Armyan Bernstein, Barry Schindel, Rob Bowman (who also directed the pilot) and Laurie Zaks.

Well, just watched the first 3 episodes, and I'm enjoying this. In my opinion the latest 2 episodes were better than the first one. And, is it just me or does Castle wants to get into his daughter's pants?

lol, i dunno, it probably is just you. i didn't get that vibe.

I agree though, the second and third episodes were better then the first. One thing that worried be though is where they'll go with the show. I really liked it at first cuz of Fillion, but when i think about it, theres already like 3 other 'cop' shows on the air rite now....what can they offer to compete with the rest. So far we haven't seen a bigger story line develop and im starting to worry the show will get old too quickly if we dont see something new.

Well, 2 nights ago was the season finale... episode 10.

I'm really enjoying this series, liked when the ex-wife came back... I hope we get more chicks from Castle's past.

But man, quite a cliffhanger at the end of episode 10. I hope we get a second season.

And yeah, Nathan Fillion is great... what about that Walken impersonation?

I thought it was a nice episode. I hate the cheezy dad-daughter moments though. When she went to the poker game, I was hoping she would introduce herself as Nikki Heat.

Not really big news, but i decided to post it mainly because if this part:

"Castle" struggled with modest numbers last year but has recently surged in the ratings.

Awesome, hope they can keep it up cuz i love this show!

Yep, it's doing quite well in the ratings as of late... kinda surprised by suddenly airing an episode on Sunday, given that the show has finally found it's audience and some stability. We'll see how it goes. ABC you just get this show renewed, given that they've been searching for a while now for their own detective procedural, and Castle seems like the only one to show something that resembles success.

This season has been pretty good.

Any of you still watching? The last episode was really really good, probably the best episode of the series so far with a huge/explosive cliffhanger at the end.

Good thing was that it was amazing in the ratings, I mean really really good. ABC finally has a cop drama that's a hit. Quite surprising I think since it wasn't doing well earlier, it's quite rare for a show to do this kind of turnaround in the ratings.

I started watching this when it started and really had high hopes cuz of Capt. Mal...but it just didn't seem to click. It got boring after like 2 episodes, so i dropped it.....but i've always wondered if its worth another shot simply cuz of Nathan Fillion.

Would you recommend this munsu? does it live up the awesomeness that was Malcolm Reynolds?

Well, if you didn't like it after two episodes, I don't see why you would like it anymore by continuing it. You don't seem to like procedurals much from what I can tell, and this is just another procedural with some fun character bantering.

To me, is just one of those shows that I can watch no matter the mood I'm in.
