They actually haven't run out of canon material. There is a lot more out there than you think, spread across PS2 games, DS versions, and manga. Since all of the story is set in parallel repeats of the summer in 1983, or the events leading up to that time, all of it is canon.

For instance, the cursed magatama of love episode on the Rei OVAs was based on the PS2 third person shooter doujin game Higurashi Daybreak, originally released in 2006. For the DS games, there are arcs about Rena's past, ones about Hanyuu's past, another from a female policewoman's perspective, and so on.

Following that theory then they can just create their own episodes and consider them cannon because of the limitless number of possibilities that can be presented in those repetitions

What i meant is that the mystery was solved and the enemy defeated, there's not much else they can present to pick my curiosity at this point

This episode was brilliant.

Favourite spots were adult-Rika and all of Rika's magical scenes. The background music was really good too. The her transformation scene reminded me of Card Captor Sakura (even though she doesn't even transform), while the track during her attacks prompted thoughts about Nanoha. Satoko's music makes me recall Kore wa Zombie desu ka?

Sorry, I didnt mean that to insult this episode. I just meant that I really like what I see next episode. Especially with keichii and mion (although I expect to be disappointed). This episode was fun and all, espeically with Rika acting like she doesnt like the magical girl thing, but is all into it. But, I do like the more serious moments as well (like the last set of OVA).

The adult Rika image was ruined a bit for me. She had an adult sexy charm because it matched her cynical side, but this time it was an adult body with the nipah~ personality.

Of course the best parts were with Rika imagining that she'd grow up and be well-endowed. Or when she finally transformed and was sorely disappointed she didn't turn into an adult.

We also know the truth, via Frederica Bernkastel's appearance at the end of Kai.

I was surprised to see that she didn't use her adult voice to complain. Guess she really does reserve that for when she's "alone", at the expense of Hanyuu's discomfort.
