So one of the Peins DID become a frong. It's going to get interesting.....Kick ass chapter by the way.

I never expected all of these people to really be dead. That is jacked up. And Naruto is getting his ass handed to him right now, looks like his power ups just werent enough this time. Great chapter.

Naruto should make massive shadow clones and locate the real Pein but I don't think he would even give him a chance to do another jutsu but if he pulls it off he can easily retreat find Pein real body and at the same time that will give them and opening to heal the old man frog while Pein is chasing Naruto.

He can't do massive clones because it would mess up the sage chakra gathering. He said he can't make more than 3 currently.
For a moment I was expecting Shizune to stand up as a new Pain.

Something makes me think it's gonna be another stupid "Haha, you're caught in my genjutsu!". Unless the frog really did get owned that badly.
It'd be nice to know just what that Rinnegan does pretty soon. I suppose this is Kishi's way of making up for explaining what the other dojutsu do so damned thoroughly, but enough already.
I've got an unsettling feeling that they're going to find the dead bodies of Payne and use them as mediums to send damaging chackra to harm (or at least interfere) Payne. maybe have inochi set a link to naruto, so that the konoha ninjas could send him chackra and restore his power.
that way he'll have the power of nature (the earth, the plants, and everything on earth) and of the people (who'll lend him their strength), and his victory would be due to teamwork!
also, it's surprising that papa-from never got to use his skill (illusion? what kind), but it's also the first time Payne has used taijutsu (he grabbed naruto and then slammed him to the ground).

Yeah, I thought it was pretty good too. But we pretty much called the petrification of the Pein, that was easy to see. What i am hoping is that the real Pein gets away, and the reality would be that at any time he could come back reinforced to fight again. And they have to go search him out with no real clue or information.
And abandon this rule the world with the Jinjuriki arc. And start the going after sasuke one. That would be way better in my opinion.
And BOss frog is hurt bad, and the other ones don't look like they are gonna survive. WOW!
Naruto's in a pinch and for once I'm not angry because he hasn't made any spectacularly stupid mistakes. Can't wait for the next chapter.
This would be really bad if Konan or even Zetsu already got to Kakashi's body on his way to become a Pain puppet. Since Pain will need new bodies, you might as well add Jiraiya and Itachi as candidates for the new uber Pain group.
Hmm.. I still don't buy that the illusion failed...
And the "stole Kakashi" thing, any translation comments anyone wants to make on that? Could there be an upcoming KakaPein?
Nice to see some deaths though, I'd say it's beginning to make up for Chouji/Neiji's miracle survivals...

Wait so Shizune died? I had to go back to 429 just to see what happened to her and I had to read this chapter twice just to understand what happened to Pa. I thought Naruto was a one trick pony, but for Ma and Pa to try and use the same jutsu they used on Pain before, that was just underestimating him. Pain isn't disappointing at all and although I was hoping for it I really wasn't expecting to see so much death.
The only gripe I have is with the Kakashi situation. With everyone dying what do they mean by Kakashi was stolen?
Btw props to the one who called Naruto reabsorbing more natural energy while he was motionless.

This is the third time you've said this and it's the second time I'm telling you about it.
Great chapter overall. I don't know how I feel about Ino's dad suddenly solving the mystery of Pain but we'll see how that turns out.

Man, God Realm's power is just absolutely off the charts. It's no wonder kakashi "died" facing him.
Next chapter is gonna have a talk between them, so it's probably going to be quite dull since all he's gonna do is ramble on and on how pain makes you superior and bla bla bla
He's probably gonna recover the black piercings off of pain's bodies or the ones he used as weapons to locate where the chakra is coming from

I'm liking all this death that is going around.
Kakashi returning as a body of Pain seems too good to be true. I'll continue hoping. Although, how would the body have been stolen? Is that what Konan has been doing all this time?
The dead bodies are still radiating with the chakra waves used to destroy the village. Ino's father is going to follow that frequency back to Nagato.
Or somehow his mind interrogation technique will work on the dead Pain they brought back at the beginning and we will see how that body became one of the six in the first place, along with Nagato's face.
Those are my completely useless theories.
Kakashi with a Sharingan and a Rinnegan and a backup supply of chakra would be epic. If Jiraiya and Kakashi become Pein bodies, Naruto really will have to surpass the previous generation.
And now that Pein has been exposed to natural energy, he might learn some senjutsu. Ouch.
I don't like that Pein is just one guy and a "puppet master". I hoped his story would be more interesting.
Not to mention him also wearing an akatsuki coat. That would be the best thing for me to see. Although one rinnengan and another eye being sharingan would indeed be epic. I have to say that most of the people he grabbed as bodies don't seem to be that good at what they do. They each specialize but, it doesn't seem like they were chosen for that reason. I mean, whose to say that once the fat absorption body wasn't a specialist in something else all together? Do we even know if Nagato gave him that ability or was an ability that his village/clan etc was known for. That always bugged me ever since I saw that they were each good at something and had their own 5p3cl4lti35.
I would think that the certain abilities that they have are from previous times and were already there when they died and were brought to the Rain village for Nagato to stuff into a tube and slap an akatsuki coat on them.
