Archie phrased it as country of origin. I suppose from a technical standpoint, that would mean your country of birth. However, most have opted to go for current residency, which is probably what Archie intended.

Origin for me would be Hong Kong then. From a cultural standpoint, it's a bit ambiguous for me too. I came over when I was a toddler, and have stayed in Australia since. aside from 2-3 trips back for a month each time. But since around grade 7, I've been watching Hong Kong satellite TV pretty much exclusively. My Chinese is fine, but I'm still more fluent in English, and that shows when I'm writing an essay.

When asked with the intent of knowing my ethnic background, I say I'm from Hong Kong, and I'm Chinese. However, if it's an answer about nationality (not just legally, aka passport issuer, but what you identify yourself as), I'm Australian.

Bingo, i didn't really consider that some may have moved.

I was expecting more people from Asia, but it seem Europe and America rule upon gotwoot.

Incidentally, Welsh is actually very interesting from a linguistic point of view, because it illustrates how strategic language planning on behalf of a government can take a nearly dead language and revive it.
When did you come here? I live on Anglesey, which is about 25 minutes away from Llandudno. And yeah its not the most lively place around

This probably sounds bad coming from me but I cant stand the male voice choir's. There just something for the old guys to do while their wifes watch them

The way that how some places in Wales speak English and some dont is actually interesting. In Pembrokeshire, because of how it was in the 14 and 1500's around half that county is a proper Welsh country, but the other half is like somewhere from the english midlands. OK I'm done boring you guys now :P

"I'm from Holland, where the f*ck you from!?"
Little country in Europe, The Netherlands, in the province Zuid-Holland (South-Holland) in the city of Den Haag (The Hague). I've also lived in Rotterdam for 10 years. Both cities are a hard living for a racist..

My parents are from Aruba. I have dutch, dominican and native american blood running through my veins.
