Well, here's a pretty nice mahnwa that is going to be adapted this Winter Season to anime. I know some people here read it already, and I don't really want to make much of an effort to setup what the series is about. Some cool action, that's what it's important.

The author is IM Dal Young, and I know quite a few people here follow his stuff (Unbalance x Unbalance, Aflame Inferno, etc.)

I know some people have been waiting for some new chapters for a while. Null has just released chapter 56, and they say they'll release more chapters today. So be on the look out.

Wending his way home after a bender one evening, master moocher and game programmer Keita Ibuki decides to satisfy a craving for ramen at a noodle stand. Instead of slurping soup, though, he surrenders his meal to a manic girl who, unbeknownst to Keita, is a Mototsumitama, a guardian of the coexistence equilibrium. When his new acquaintance is attacked, Keita gets caught in the crossfire and loses an arm. Awakening from the shock of his injury, Keita finds himself back in his apartment... arm intact! But just whose arm is it?! Asking the strange girl raiding his refrigerator reveals only that Keita's life has become a great deal more complicated.

This manga is so badass, that I actually buy the english volumes, too bad the anime is going to stray from the manga .......why do anime studios always feel like they have to change the source material ?

Well, they also released chapter 58 a moment ago.

As for the anime, well we can only prey that they're not making Keita into a kid from high school... that it's only a flashback. And if he's indeed in high school, that it's only to start the series up. The only reason that I could think that they're making him a kid is to make the series more shounen oriented instead of seinen as the manga was initially. The series will also aired dubbed in the United States at roughly the same time as the Japanese broadcast on iaTV at 8pm EST. So I wonder how much that might influence the decision.

As for the manga, I wonder how strong humans that have made contracts with mototsumitamas can get. I mean, Kuro's bro seemed to be obedient (he might be faking though) to Akane's double (who I assume is his partner). So I think she's quite badass.

Just read all of volume 8 in one go, gotta say that was quite a badass volume.
Ghost grandpa bitchslapping shinobu was great, and the panel where keita knees kuro in the face made me rofl bigtime.
Think it's safe to say that volume 8 also closed like the first "arc".

Well ch60 is out, and I really dig the new character already, quite a humorous chapter aswell, but it seems next chapter will have some action again.

Also I like the new(old) word for mototsumitama a lot better, shinryon is much easier to say.
