The next filler certainly doesn't look too good. I wish they had come up with something better than Foxy... There used to be decent fillers in One Piece, after all. I doubt in this one there is anything else decent than some fanservice.

Indeed, I hope this doesn't last too long.

I like how nicely they explained the vivre cards, and how they tied it way back to when Ace gave Luffy his back in Alabasta. Also, wtf at the giant shadows in the mist...

The filler writers sure do love foxy. Man, the next real arc is seriously one of the most intense arcs in the series, too...I don't want to wait :/

That is exactly why you need to wait as they won't be able to put on breaks to give manga time to go ahead. And as for LAAABOOOOOOOOONNNN you haven't heard last of him.

I still like these sentimental transition episodes, this one was as good as it gets for that kind of thing, despite it being slightly annoying to hear "LABOOOOON!" every 5 minutes.

Not sure if I like the look of this next (seemingly filler) arc... but I'll still watch it, of course.

    Great episode.
I just love how Oda gives importance to past small events.
I mean... seriously... Ace's vivre card appeared on Alabastra and we finally learnt what it was.
    Oda is a god.

And I kinda liked how the next filler arc looks. I don't think it will be too long either seeing how it looks. So I guess another filler arc will come to pass later.

As much as i would like to hurry up and get to the next arc, i'd have to say this is the perfect place for a filler fest. The manga isn't very far ahead of where we are currently and it needs time to get ahead, if they continue on right now there aren't really too many ideal places to stop without ruining the epicness of the next arc.

I dunno why you guys are surprised. It's how it always goes. Real arc, filler arc.

In fact, sometimes there's mutliple filler arcs. Hopefully we only have one this time.

Anyway, glad Brook has officially joined(whats the total crew bounty up to now?) And I'd completely forgotten about Ace's card. So, cool that that came up again.

Makes you wonder if they write mangas by thinking the story backwards!

Is that thing in the mist in the manga or is it some kinda lead-in to the filler arc?

By the way who's Pirate Empress Hancock? Has she appeared in the anime yet?

Nah she hasn't. She's in the current manga arc. I won't say who she is, because she's pretty important.

    thanks, prophet.

Yes, the giant eyes in the mist is in the manga, by the way...as well as the creepy narrative.

It's neat that they did that. I mean, the beginning of the arc kinda makes it seem like Moria is the source of all of Brook's problems, but then you realize that Brook's been dead for almost 50 years in the Florian Triangle, which is way before Moria showed up. So the question becomes, "wtf was destroying all those ships before Moria that gave the
    Florian triangle its bad reputation?"

Kinda reminds me of the fog giants that just turned out to be Skypian's shadows.

I dunno....the crew was just defeated cause of poison arrows...and I don't think they were caught off-guard by any hideous fog giants or anything. I think this is something else...

I would say that those who defeated Brooks crew will still be used later on as the main villains for an arc. I also suspect we will get to see Franky's dad who was also said to be a pirate.
