I mean, the beginning of the arc kinda makes it seem like Moria is the source of all of Brook's problems, but then you realize that Brook's been dead for almost 50 years in the Florian Triangle, which is way before Moria showed up. Kinda reminds me of the fog giants that just turned out to be Skypian's shadows.
I dunno....the crew was just defeated cause of poison arrows...and I don't think they were caught off-guard by any hideous fog giants or anything. I think this is something else...

I would say that those who defeated Brooks crew will still be used later on as the main villains for an arc. I also suspect we will get to see Franky's dad who was also said to be a pirate.
