Still no FMP?
Looking forward to Druaga and Minami-ke. I'm not familiar with the other series and so discussions in gotwoot will decide whether I'll be watching them
<3 Tessa-chan! <3 Lucifus! ....chotto mate.
ohh. I just went over the list again, and I'm thinking that Hetalia Axis Powers, Kowarekake no Orgol, and The 3-mei-sama, all look pretty interesting. I'll probably check all three of those out.

RandomC has provided its regular Seasonal Preview (with lots of promo videos):
Winter 2009 Preview
Note: As mentioned somewhere, Queen's Blade (on the image we were using) doesn't air until Spring.

That said, I have to say that I am looking forward to RIDE BACK a lot more than I was before, and with the way the animation is looking, it should probably draw in some better sub groups than have expressed interest in it already. Nana Mizuki as the lead makes it an instant win for me.
Kurokami (Black God) will probably be another easy pick up for me.
White Album will satisfy my fairly realistic, yet heart-wrenching love triangle series for the season.
Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai is a remake of Munto, which I've heard a lot about and is one of Kyoto Animation's earlier projects. I always wanted to see it, but never got around to it. Will definitely be picking this one up.
Maria†Holic is another definite on my list.
The rest we'll see as we go.

I read the first volume of the series, and I quite enjoyed it. Not much happens in the first volume, but you can see it's setting up something nice. As you said, the animation looks top notch, so the action scenes should be great. At the moment it seems like it'll have it's share of school life moments, with some robot races mixed in, and political/war moments to face.Originally Posted by Ryllharu
Interesting variety of shows this season
Hajime no Ippo: This one is a no brainer for me since i love the manga.
The Tower of Druaga: A definite must watch since I've been dying to see what will happen next after that cliff hanger ending.
Kurokami: I really enjoy IM Dal Young works and this is one of his longer running series. I'm not quite sure but does anyone know if this is officially the first ever manhwa to get animated? if so then i hope this trend continue because there are a lot of excellent manhwa that deserve to be animated. /finger cross for ID the animation
Slayers Evolution: I didn't really like the last season as much as some of the older ones but here hoping that is because it was just the set up for something bigger. It's Slayers so i won't hate it even if it doesn't wow me.
Well Shin Angyo Onshi was animated as a movie... maybe first tv series? I'll take a look around and see what I can find. And yeah, IM Dal Young is kickass. I'm currently reading like 4 of his series.
There was also the movie Wonderful Days... did that have a manhwa?
There's also Jang Geum's Dream, but no manhwa either. So Shin Angyo Onshi is my current leader. But as far as tv series, Kurokami seems like a first.

Black God isn't technically a manhwa if I remember right. It is published in a Japanese magazine, Young GanGan produced by Square-Enix. I think in one of the first author omakes, Im Dal Young makes remarks about how he and Park Sung Woo visited Japan for the first time because the series was published in Japan instead of Korea.
Shin Angyo Onshi had an OVA/movie, but I don't know if any predate that.
That's true about Black God. But, does it get published in a Korean mag first? I know SAO was published in Japan too, but also in Korea. But I've seen Black God being catagorized both way by different people.Originally Posted by Ryllharu

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...ga.php?id=9861Although it was first published in Japanese, Black God was first written in Korean, then translated into Japanese and published. Because this title was created for the Japanese market, it was originally created in the right to left format of Japanese manga, not the left to right format of Korean manhwa. Other titles created by Lim and Park were created initially published in Korean in left to right format.

I checked a couple of sources and I can't find any record of Black God being published in Korean at all.
The anime is being broadcast on Japanese, Korean and in the U.S. (probably Crunchyroll) simultaneously.
EDIT: Does "written" mean published or just authored?

Adding new definite watches:
White Album - Sounds like a good romance anime.
Kemono no Souja Erin - Written by the same author as Seirei no Moribito and produced again by Production IG, sounds like win. Though from the looks of the promo there's a huge drop in quality compared to Seirei no Moribito.
AniDB and ANN list it as 50 episodes long. If that's true, it easily explains why the visuals might look of lower quality.Originally Posted by animus
That sounds about right. Seems like the story is just about as epic as SnM, maybe even more so since this deals with war.
White Album - Could go for a romantic one, especially with a twist.
Afro Resurrection - Hell yes!
Kurokami - looks interesting enough
Other than that nothing really pops out at me.
Here's what I'm looking at:
Yes:
Ride Back
Maria Holic
Asu no Yoichi!
Maybe:
Chrome Shelled Regios
Akikan!
WHITE ALBUM
Kurokami The Animation
Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai
Hetalia Axis Powers
Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo
VIPER’S CREED
Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger
I'm sure I won't end up watching more than 3 or 4 new ones. Can anyone tell me is it worth watching Hajime no Ippo if I haven't seen the original or read any of the manga?
Once you guys see the first episode of Kurokami, it will be a must watch on your lists.
Peace.
I really wanna watch the dub first, but I dunno where I'd find it.

I hope that actually stays. It's not really a complex anyways.
