I must say, the video quality is awesome. The same quality you'll get if a good subgroup was subbing it. Since Dattebayo is a speedsub, the videoquality isn't all that good IMO. But, since there is no alternative, I'm happy that they are doing it.
I'm sure there are ppl that will rip it for us and save us $5 a month.
i haven't watched naruto in the past 2 months... I would assume this is a troll until a few weeks go by with no dattebayo releases.
The last 5 episodes are streaming on Naruto.com, previous to the streaming of Shippuden.
And as expected... region locked.
Wow. I went and watched one, after I saw your post. The eps are in Japanese with English subs, but have American commercials. I thought that was weird.
that's actually coming up for me too, ryouga. apparently because the videos are uploaded to and linked from hulu, it only works in the u.s. the crunchyroll ones starting on the 8th are supposed to be worldwide
But Crunchyroll requires you to pay. While the 'free' sites seem to be region locked.
So, like I said, Dattebayo is screwing all the fanbase outisde the US.
crunchyroll requires you to pay when the episodes first come out. after a week, they become free for anyone, from what i understand.

I'll have to either watch it in 420p, or download a sub. My connection has trouble downloading faster than the HD plays.
Still, it'll be cool if the new group releases in 720p. I never understood why DB chose to release in their chosen resolution, besides faster encoding for a quicker release.

Yeah i always thought it would be nice to watch naruto in HD, never knew why dattebayo always refused to use the MKV format
My first guess was to keep it all compatible with existing DVD/media players, but the H264 codec killed that.
Keeping in league with "standard" formats, they could have moved to HD mp4 files.
Not that it matters now.

I watch them on TV... just because the TV is my monitor...
And I agree with Buff. It loads too slow. I had to wait for almost 10 minutes to get the trailer you posted going. Which is painful.
I guess it would be the as waiting for the file to download... but then again... I tried to forward what the file already had downloaded in your link and it began loading from the start again.
Guess my 1Mb connection hates streams.
Just wait like 4-5 minutes in pause and then start watching it, that should work even with a 1 MB connection.
Now are we talking Mbit or MByte? There's 8x the difference.

I've been wandering CrunchyRoll's site and discovered that IF you want HD quality, as the trailer that Archie posted, you must PAY even if a week has passed already.
I was browsing the Skip Beat episodes, and all HQ or H264 links directed you to their pre-order page. If you want to watch free, even a week later, you must see their LQ (youtube like) version.
