I was a little disgruntled at the beginning of this episode when they flung us into yet another time period, with little point of reference to deduce exactly when.

Actually the time period was very readily available with that fleet of B-17s, but I was nonetheless annoyed, because I don't particularly enjoy flashbacks, feeling they will take time away from developing the actual current setting.

I'm actually pretty confused because the current leader of this group was wearing that logo on his suit when he took Kuromitsu, and yet I'd thought that was the logo worn by the opposing army since the dudes attacking them in the last episode were wearing it. And wasn't that symbol also worn by the soldiers in the far past who attacked Kuro? Maybe I'm misremembering here....but I know it's significant, and I can't make the connection yet.

The dudes who picked up Kuromitsu didn't carry that symbol, though, from what I could see. The ones who shot them up there did, though, so they could be from different factions, or perhaps in the 20 years something happened to break those two groups apart into separate ones. Like the ones down in the ruins were scientists who were ordered to study Kuromitsu, but eventually didn't like it and fled to fight against those murderous bastards. Who knows.

Oh, you're totally right. I'd somehow just made the assumption that the soldiers above and the soldiers below were part of the same group. Now that I go back and look at it again, they have different armor, and those below don't sport the mysterious symbol. Awfully convenient though that they were ready to collect Kuromitsu right after she'd been gunned down by the soldiers above....

Edit: The plot moved nicely forwards and promises hard action in the next episode. Altough still no sign of Kuromitsu and thus no certain proof Kuro is ever going to meet her again. Though certain things indicate she is with that lot, like the attack by the Red Imperial Army (or whatever was their name). Still, it's interesting they had her blood to be used on the hapless prisoners if they don't have her in the custody. Where did they get the blood in the first place? Unless I was indeed correct and those two factions worked together 20 years earlier when Kuromitsu was captured and the blood we saw in this ep was old.

Edit: I have to say I'm not terribly surprised they didn't find Kuromitsu. It looks like a long journey full of twists to get to her, and what the dude will find once he managed to catch her... Who knows. After all, like he said in this episode, himself, he hasn't really any idea who Kuromitsu is. The memory he seemed to have where Kuromitsu is the one beheading him only add fuel to the fire of doubt and puzzlement.

Yeah exactly Kraco. Still its a pretty awesome show and am I the only one who thinks Saniwa looks an awful like Kuromitsu except older and shorter gray hair?

Nah, you aren't the only one. Story and setting looks awesome, and i think that it seems more as watching animated comics(especialy the scene with Miitsu), than a typical anime.

Those last 2 episodes were interesting to say the least. I didnt like the fights in episode 9 as much. It was a bit silly.

But other than that the show is definitely hotting up!

It doesn't seem like he's been in this advanced age for very long, but the time shifts are pretty confusing so I don't know. It seems like everytime he wakes up, he lives for a few moments, maybe a few days max before getting his ass blown off again.

I am not saying episode 9 was not awesome. The fights were lame. Especially the bike portions of it. It just didnt seem cool or realistic enough but using the word 'realistic' I guess is not fair in an anime . Lets just say they could have done a better job with the motorbike.

I'm still trying to figure out what is really going on in this series. It's interesting that Kuro called his visions of him and Kuromitsu in the past dreams, and not memories. I guess technically he doesn't have any memories of the past at all, and yet somehow fragments of dreams slip through, and he's not sure whether they're something real that happened, or just nightmares made up out of his mind. And it looks like Kuromitsu is the one who does whatever it is that causes Kuro to transfer bodies. If she wasn't around, would he age normally and die?

From what we've seen, Kuromitsu is less trustworthy than ever. It looks like she's got some plan in the works, and Kuro is merely a piece in her game that she can deceive and manipulate.

It could be that, yes, or perhaps she's trying to find a way to avoid the need to arrange new bodies to Kuro all the time. At least I assume right now Kuromitsu herself doesn't need to do that for her own body, so it's just for Kuro. I would find that a lot more romantic conclusion to the story than her simply being untrustworthy...

The ending tells me, Kuro and Kuromitso are stuck in a cycle that never ends. :/

I still dont get the story even though I see they are stuck in that cycle...where and how was Kuromitsu born? How did she become immortal? And Kuon was the one with her naked on the beach but they had said earlier that is how she had gotten her powers but then it looks like she was the one who made Kuon how he is...*confused* though it was stil lan awesome but incredibly bloody show lol.

This show just felt like a complete waste of time to me. They didn't even bother to explain hardly anything.

I don't think the ending was particularly good. An unexplained cyclic theme could work for some stories but with this I thought it was somewhat cheap because I never felt this wasn't linear at large. The only cyclic element really was Kuro's constant memory losses, but if they leave the whole thing at that, it's justified to ask what was the point of the whole series? As they didn't reveal the essential things at the end, it means we watched this just for the... action? Well, the action was good enough but a story is always better than mindless hack'n'slash.
