Such a boring interaction between Touma and his MILF of a mom. I mean, he didn't ask her or his father a single thing. Normally you'd want to learn more about your seemingly caring parents, and your own past with subtle questions.
He didn't have too much time before the head biter appeared. Plus he might not be quick-witted enough to immediately start to interrogate them after seeing his mom for the "first" time. And lastly if I was his in his place, I'd also be held back by the way I treated her back when she looked like Index...

I'm just used to hearing -chan, other variations or no honourifics at all. Or maybe it's just his mum's voice that makes it sound strange, and I've heard it a million times before?

It is possible for really traditional families that value formalities. It can also depend on the person. Still, it is very rare.

Remember that Touma was shocked to hear Index speak so formally, when in fact it was her mother. To me the terms used described her speach as very elaborate and high class.
But I may be lost between translation and bad memory.
So maybe his mother really is that, someone of a higher class. It may sound strange as his father seems to be your average guy.
All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.
Or maybe they just aren't very close? But, still they didn't seem like an unhappy family.

I loved where they made fun of Shizuka Itou's (Kanzaki's seiyuu if you didn't know her name) alcohol woes.
I've heard the story alluded to in a few places, but this was the last place I expected to see it.

This thing was surprisingly good.
Indeed. I didn't think I would like it, but I found it enjoyable. My favorite was the Kanzaki section that Ryllharu mentioned. I laughed when they said she got piss drunk.
Kanzaki scenes were the best, and I definitely liked the ending bit. I like the imitation from Shakugan no Shana, but there were lots of other references too.

It was refreshing seeing Index being useful again.
Even more so after i rewatched the first episodes, i feel like her progression in the story was becoming nothing short of idiotic but it too a good turn on this one.
I really wonder what the writer is thinking as to who'll be Touma's love interest in the future, because unless he's into polygamy he's just burying his ass further down on each ep.
I think i'll support the Tousaka couple, i like loli tsunderes
Average as in dress and manerism. He's in a T-shirt, doesn't talk refined nor gruff etc. You can't tell exactly if he's rich, but he doesn't hold back when it comes to souvenirs.

This episode turned out better than I expected. I thought it was going to be a comedic date episode, but I was wrong and I'm glad I was.
The Shocker was so cute in deredere mode. Turning red and being all shy was so out of character for her. I would like to see her and Touma end up together in the future.

Aw, Mikoto being embarassed and Index being helpful was a plus in my book. This episode had the original feel back into it, unlike the last episode, and looks like Touma's harem has been cut down to 10, but still good enough with all the other girls, right?
[PLOT]Anyway, I really like the reasoning of that magician. Touma is gathering a lot of powerful allies, magicians and Level 5 Espers alike, and how it's named "Touma Faction." Whatever the opposing group is better have something more powerful than the Imagine Breaker and all the other support abilities behind him.[/PLOT]

That was an awesome episode! Was not disappointed in it at all. I really love how the different magicians use different powers and implements...pretty awesome. Go Touma!!!
