Auto-revive?! That's some hax skill, for getter or worse. Like you all, I felt this climax was rather dull, mainly because they built the whole thing up so epically, then it just kinda went.....meh.

Tsuchimikado's ability was actually pretty sweet, but it just kind of came out of no where, just like his Taijutsu. Perhaps they train Feng Shui with Kung Fu? What really killed his spell was how simple it was. It's a bit hard to overwhelm the audience with paper-in-corner + glitter = BOOM. Perhaps if it was a more complicated spell things might have turned out better.

Touma didn't really earn Kanzaki's thanks this time round neither. Besides finding Misha fishy, he didn't do terribly much. Tsuchimikado's the guy who almost lost his life (but knew he'd get it back )

And like always, Index shows up at the end of the arc just to remind us what this show's called.

Next week looks fun though. Mikoto Date FTW!!!

Wow... that was definitely random. I totally LOLed at Angel fall being casted by mere coincidence. Still... why did "Misha" want to hunt the caster? She wanted to return to the sky? Or wanted to stop the only way for her to go back? But if Tsuchimikado's sacrifice was enough... would "Misha" need to kill anyone who sought Angel fall before it was finished?

Loved how Touma completely forgot what he did to Index. Although I hate her more for that ending. Love the series... but the only time I've liked Index character was in the first arc. After that she plainly sucks.

In her mind, I think Misha just think killing the castor is the way to go (back to heaven). I think if the spell was completed, she wouldn't have been able to go back.

-Kanzaki's religion allowed her anti-diety magic. Supposedly that gives her the power to fight against an angel, but all we saw was sword play?! That turned out kind of lame.

As for the OP, I don't know. whereas the first one built up to nothing, this one doesn't build up at all...but the animation sequences were interesting.

The first op only showed you what happened or what was going to happen on the previous arcs. Kinda weird to see Misha on the new one until the episode where her arc ends.

Well this episode was kind of a buzzkill but since it's the first in 17 episodes i can let it slide

And Mikoto gets the good parts.

About this ep - 'nuff said, climax was weak, tsuchimikado is more weird than he was, and less index. overall good ep but could be better, remove index and it will be way better.
(she does not deserve a capital letter in her name after first arc).

Index wouldn't be such a hate-attracting character if they actually did something with her. I would imagine it'd be quite enjoyable if some shady organisations were after Index's index, and at some climax she'd be able to spit out some crazy powerful spell.

A bit cliche, but it'll still be pretty cool. Too bad they introduced the concept in the first arc, but never touched on it since.

It is true that the series revolves around Touma, with Index becoming a secondary character after the events of the first arc. However, her Librorum is still important to the series, and since no organization has made plans to even inact on that idea, she'll be put aside for a long, long time. The next episode seems to be another Touma/Mikoto arc, so predicably, it should be good.

This is just on episode 17. We get it. You hate Index. You really don't need to tell us three times every episode. Archangel didn't even mention Index, and you brought up how much you hate her.

I also understand that you look at the novels (but may not read them). Enough about which arc this is, the minor hints at who is showing up next time, that the, "Mikoto Date is finally here!" or something similar.

This is not too far from hinting at manga content for other series. There are rules against this kind of behavior in the other forums (notably Bleach and Naruto for their very explicit rules on it). It is starting to get out of hand. As a favor to the rest of us, I humbly ask you to please stop.

I also realize how much of a hypocrite I am asking for this, having done it a few times myself. But I usually stop after a few episodes, or make remarks after the content has aired at how it was different in the manga/novels.

While Archie didn't comment on Index... my comment on your 2nd quote was based on how Mikoto seemed to be more popular than Index.

Third quote was based that on how yet again she decided to attack Touma, despite he being on the hospital after saving everyone. Including her. Am I not free to comment on a scene from the episode?


As far as I remember, the only time I've really hinted at what was coming next or what was supposed to happen was way back on episode 5, when the Vampire arc began and I was expecting the Mikoto arc. Even Animus, as a fellow manga reader, had commented on it (as he was expecting the scene of Index's past which was shown on the manga while the anime only talked about it)

I'll stop there since the thread is about episode 17, but I don't get why you suddenly feel the need to try and censore my opinions on certain characters, as you yourself admitted you've done it before. Maybe because now you are on the receiving end? If you so desire then I will omit commenting on the Index's threads.

If I was talking about the novels I would be revealing who are the characters on the new intro and not something already mentioned on the thread through the preview.

Toaru is rivaling Allison & Lillia in the anti-climax, dumb conclusions department. Overall the episode had some decent moments, but the episode itself made this whole arc pointless and worthless.

I don't think Ryll is trying to censor your opinions, but just remind you that expressing your opinion does not require you to do it 3x or more in one episode thread. I personally hate Index's guts, but you don't see me posting about it in every episode, even if someone else brought it up.

I do understand your point about the novels though. So far, you have not spoiled anything major. You should understand however, that there are people with good insight reading your posts, and just from the fact that they know you have read the manga or novel and the information you post (no matter how small a clue it is), some can unwillingly deduce what is going to happen next.

I am not saying you have done this so far, but it might be better to avoid it from happening in the future.

Don't take it personally. I myself have been warned about such behavior (since I watch raw releases), and so has Ryll (in the claymore thread, I believe).

There are plenty of times you've talked about the novels (eps 13 thread, eps 14 thread, etc), or extensively about the prequel doujin, or any number of other parts. You mention the wikipedia article a lot lately. You seem to have read it and spoiled yourself rather extensively.

It's not that you're mentioning characters yet to be seen or any actual spoilers (and I thank you for that), but rather that you keep mentioning you know. "The nth Arc starts this way," "[this] part is finally here!" etc. Not spoiling, but hinting at knowledge about it.

It's more the constant mentions of how much you hate Index over the potential for spoilers. It is in nearly every post since the last Mikoto arc ended.

By all means do not stop posting in these threads, you are a valuable contributor to the discussions. Just use a little more discretion.
