    Lots of blood from Himegami.
Oriana was mistaken, but that's quite a strong spell for a mistake, seems like she's been goind easier on Tsuchimikado. But maybe it's just an illusion as he protects himself well and Himegami just is your average human being.

All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.

Also, this time Oriana was surprised so she might have gone for a more powerful attack from the get-go. Since she relies on that stack of paper slips, it's obvious her selection is limited. She should have opted to use them appropriately, keeping in mind possible future uses. That's why it could seem she went easier on Tsuchimikado. She was pretty much in control of that encountered from the beginning. Now, however, this was something she wasn't expecting at all and moreover she had just fallen for Tsuchimikado's lies.

An excellent episode all in all. Although the awkward, strange scenes again appeared with Touma listening to Index's stomach for one reason or another. No wonder Kuroko made her comment.

One thing I like is the integration of and interaction between many of the characters who hadn't previously met each other. Makes them feel much less one arc wonders.

Like Kraco said, the interaction of all the various characters at last is making this series shine.

My favorite part was when Loli-sensei started placing the symbolic random bits in an attempt to heal Himegami, leading Stiyl to be surprised. There was no way she would forget that, even if she doesn't fully understand what she's doing. Komoe is very smart, an expert in a lot of things scientific, so it would be very amusing if she started to get better or at least more into magic. I'd be interested to see her scientific approach to learning it. I can't help but think she'd be fascinated by the comparisons to what's known about Esper abilities.

I'm not so certain Oriana can use some kind of order. I don't think we've seen her flipping to a particular part of her packet in combat, she just rips the top one off with her teeth. She never uses the same spell twice because she just writes each one in there once. She must have a strong knowledge of how the spells are best used because they never seem to backfire on her. Perhaps she stacks the deck in a series of sequences (opener, follow-ups, immobilizers, finishers).

The animation was pretty terrible, what the hell happened to the quality i had grown accustomed to from season 1?

I also think these episodes are getting a bit tedious, especially since we just came from that fast pacing teleporter arc. I can't even really get into any of the battles because of said shitty animation.

That pussy move from Oriana, I dont get how it came to such a positioning, even after rewatching it.

I'm still wating for Science to actually cross Magic... preview after preview its the same title, and yet it hasn't really started.

hmmm, can't agree on that. everything looked normal to me, except for a few faces here and there but I can't say for sure if that wasn't the case in the first one.

    this...

I'm sorry to ask but how the hell was that supposed to measure anything, especially if you havn't done something like that before..

Kuroko's Teleportic are of Two episodes span one rushed novel.

The current arc spans TWO volumes of novel.

    About the episode:

I was quite surprised to see Sheryl Crownel with Oorsola actually. I expect news from them to Styl soon.

Himegami is no usual human, so she can survive such attack. It was a nice surprise to see Styl trying to aid Komoe-sensei because she was part of the reason Index was saved.

We need to see more of Mizusu apart from fanservice.

I expect Kuroko and Mikoto to be more involved next episode, or at least Kuroko, based on the preview.

What are you trying to say?

As for pussy move.. I'm all behind Oriana in this one. She's just been reminded that there may be more enemies than she thinks.. that they're on their way there, and that one of them is a saint.

If "The Walking Church" symbolises the bearer as an Index-class mage (a big shot, I gather), then the only thing from stopping Oriana from getting wasted was a pre-emptive strike.

By "pussy move" I'm pretty sure he meant the position where she spread eagled on the floor then kicked Tsuchimikado.

Ah. I thought he meant "pussy" as in her "cheap" move against Himegami.

    Yeah.. I have no idea.

Touma's words rubbed me the wrong way here. Comparing the tournament to world happiness sounded child-like to my ears.

Kuroko lusting after the "upgraded" Misaka family member was thoroughly enjoyable - largely because I've loved that BGM since railgun.

Animation remained unimpressive and the arc remained lackluster. This is by far the most boring arc in Index history so far, it's making me miss railgun.

Kuroko saved it a bit though, it was like her brain was overheating from a onee-sama overdose.

I have not noticed anything worth complaining about in terms of animation. Am I the only one who feels that way, or is Ark just too picky?

It wasn't terrible this week ( like it was last week ) but it wasn't season 1 Index level either. The final episode of the Kuroko arc, now that was the shit.

It's definitely gotten a bit inconsistent and lower quality, Arch is right there, but it's nothing horribly terrible. Arch (or rather Sankaku) can find some pretty atrocious looking stills from the last two episodes. But, it's not as terrible as Arch is making it out to be, he's a bit spoiled. It's no eps 25 and 26 of Evangelion, but they are phoning it in a bit to save money/time. It's more like a drop in quality on par with Nanoha StrikerS from A's.

The key frames are still good, it's the backgrounds and inbetweens that are suffering.

I actually got that screen off of /a/, who in turn had got it from sankaku. They had many other examples, the whole thing was terrible, especially the fight between Tsuchimikado and Oriana.

I wouldn't make such a big deal out of it if, like Ryll said, i hadn't been spoiled by the first season's impeccable animation.

It indeed seemed a bit off. It's true the city is now full of people enjoying the sports festival but even so you'd think there would be larger issues than just one day. In that sense it would also have made more sense to concentrate on Oriana's innocent victims, not the sports festival.

Despite such minor details, I still consider this one of the better Index arcs for sure.

The animation quality isn't that high but it's sufficient. At least I don't readily notice any gross errors while watching and it gets the job done well enough. It's not like I'd have ever watched Index for the animation.

Like KrayZ33 said above, I'm really starting to wonder where the "Science crosses Magic" things are actually going to happen in this series. Aside from Touma's Imagine Breaker (which we all assume is science based...), there really hasn't been all that much.

    We've had:
    - The Tree Diagram getting destroyed by Index.
    - All the mages that keep infiltrating Academy City and are promptly ignored by Allister.
    - Kuroko getting grabbed by the golem.
    - Hyouka (living AIM field) almost getting killed by said golem.
    - Mikoto getting stalked by a magician.
    - Tsuchimikado.
    - Fukiyose getting zapped (is she even an Esper?)

All very minor incidents in the grand scheme of things, and there hasn't been much in the way of anyone recalling any of these incidents as something abnormal. The magicians all know about science and many of the details of it, but the science faction never brings this stuff up ever again.

Tree Diagram is just assumed to be randomly destroyed, though the beam should have been visible on some satellite somewhere. Kuroko should know the golem is not a Esper ability. The only thing it might compare to is one of the AIM field constructs she's seen, but she doesn't even mention that. Mikoto has remembered the stalker incident, but has not yet connected it to anything out of the ordinary, and focuses on Touma's words about her, not what was going on. Fukiyose should know something was wrong with what happened to her, but she seems to have already forgotten it.

The only real cross between the two worlds is Touma and Tsuchimikado. I know the whole point is to avoid a war between the two supernatural factions, but someone from the younger cast on the Science side should have figured out what Touma is up to by now.
