To Aru Kagaku no Railgun is gonna start airing Friday October 2nd @ 26:30 on Tokyo MX. The first episode has a 1 hour delayed start time. It will air normally at 25:30, starting the week after.
I'm highly anticipating this.

Damn you, Marik. When I reached that point reading your post, I immediately thought the first ep will be one hour long! But of course not...Originally Posted by Marik

SourceThe July issue of Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine is announcing on Friday that production on the second season of the Toaru Majutsu no Index television anime series has been green-lit. The key visual image from the announcement shows the returning characters Index (Yuka Iguchi), Toma Kamijo (Atsushi Abe), Mikoto Misaka (Rina Satou) from the first season and Kazuma Kamachi's original light novels. A game for the Sony PSP portable console has also green-lit for this winter.
Looking forward to it.
FUCK YEAH!
I love you for this Marik, you may now carry my children
you may now carry HIS children is what you meant to say.

After the disappointing second half of Railgun, this is indeed welcome news. Assuming the Mikoto+Touma combo gets decently screentime. Index herself was almost a side character in her own show and I can't say I would be any great fan of hers. Although if she developed into an active and useful character, I wouldn't complain.
I came.
Any estimated date?
Good news. I was largely disinterested with Railgun after the first few episodes myself.
To be fair... Index has 22 novels, of which 6 were animated on the first season. Railgun had 3 manga volumes when its anime began (4 currently) and only 2 were animated, with lots of stretching and filler (which the current manga made canon...). If we ever get Railgun Season 2 it will be on par of Index's quality... the un-animated manga is that awesome.
Wow, this is good stuff. Good thing eclipse has an archive torrent, just watched the 2nd eps and I can tell its good like ichiban without the nudes.
