Wait... was it a ritual? Or a literal angel falling? I am confused...
And I still think Kuroko Obama wins my vote... even if I am not from that country...
Touma's expressions through all the episode are gold.

Yea, Kanzaki said it was a very huge magic spread throughout the world, where they'll call it "Angel Fall". She also further hypothesize that it could be a ritual or magic seals.

So the culprit is obvious? That didn't occur to me, so I'll give it another quick viewing. The Russian magician's attire and programmed persona resembles Index so much, I'm wondering of the Churches each have their own loli-cloning production line.
And Mum's swimsuit looked a bit too much like pubic hair, even if it was the wrong colour..-_-"
As for Angel's Fall, are you guys saying that's simply the Operation Codename, and it was all just a metaphor for the chaos that happens when an Angel falls? I always thought they meant it quite literally.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
That's how I interpret what Kanzaki said. This person, along with someone or something, can cast a magic so powerful that it disrupts the Tree of Sephiroth and causes distrubances throughout the world, decreasing the spiritual ranks of Angels to Humans, or the balance of the world, basically.Originally Posted by Buffalobiian

um, could someone explainn what happened? i feel like there´s an episode missing inbetween. who is the blond guy touma seemed to knew and then was surprised when he told him he was meember of necessarius? never saw him before.
He's one of Touma's friends from school. Idiot 1 has blue hair, and this "was" Idiot 2. It turns out he's someone really important, and possibly one of the few Level 5's in Academy City.
I was thinking, does that make him more of a traitor, or a middleman? From what I gathered, Science and Magic aren't really enemies or anything, but they aren't exactly....open to each other.Originally Posted by Ryllharu

and here I thought that magic is for people who can't use esper abilities. A magican wouldn't need ESP skills or rather can't use them from what Index explained already, or am I mistaken?Originally Posted by Ryllharu
btw why is the culprit obvious?
I don't know who it is yet to be honest, that is if I don't take the preview into consideration, then I would say it's his father. (title of the next episode etc.)
but well, I also thought that this episode is going to be something like a filler, with nothing happening at all.. just a la-di-da-di slice-of-life episode, because the preview looked like it and in the end it turned out to be more

I don't know if Tsuchimikado can quite possibly fit the Level 5 category, since he's in the same boat as his blue-haired friend for not displaying anything extraordinary other than go to review sessions with Touma and him. Whatever he has in stored for us, we can probably wait until next episode or so to see what he can do.Originally Posted by Ryllharu

I guess he was in those session to spy on Touma, or the senseï or both.Originally Posted by Nadouku

Like I've said before... nothing happens without a reason on this series... don't expect filler... every single episode has been properly animated from the Novel. The current events take place during the 4th Novel. Every single one of the previous arcs has its own novel.
Who says he ever had to admit how strong his ability really was? People LIE. They've frequently referred to the people who are Level 5's as a total number. In the schools we've been introduced to, Mikoto is the only Level 5 that people know about perhaps because she is so...flashy. (*ba dum crash*) Accelerator was known to Mikoto and MISAKA, but Touma had obviously never heard of him, and the incident was fairly isolated from most of the characters. They frequently say, "One of the only [forgot the number] Level 5s in the city," but they never elaborate. Touma certainly can't name all of them, and it seems more like only those Level 5s know of each other by reputation. I don't know for sure if he is one, but he was boasting in just the same way that Kuroko announced Mikoto (or Mikoto herself) and Accelerator talked about himself.
In addition, who said that Espers can't be members of Necessarius? They aren't mages, just an association of those who deal with magic and Espers from the churches. They are a religious association, like Masons, Knights Templar, Opus Dei, vampire hunters or any other secret organization that is commonly abused in fiction. It just so happens that most of the members of Necessarius and Annihilatus are mages because that's what they know best.
Just because espers are science and magic is divine, doesn't mean they can't cooperate. The Catholic Church has dozens of scientists. One of them even recently decreed the possibility of alien life to exist and mused on the idea of where they stand in God's vision. Science or even science fiction and religion are not mutually exclusive.
Tsuchimikado doesn't have to know how to use magic, he can know about it just the same as Touma once did. Or Loli-sensei or even Index.
But they also slipped in the lines from Misha Kruschschev and Kanzaki about how there was some corruptive way that Espers could utilize magic.
well he lost his memory so it's not a wonder that he didn't know of Accelerator ^^
but you might be right with thje connection between the Academic City and the Church.
when they passed the city limit, Index seemed to have something like an ID now...
or did the" ****** " mean that she didn't have pme and the guy wasn't really looking and let them through? (but I wonder why her name was known then) I didn't understand that scene at all, how did he search for her in the first place? without typing a name or having something like a card.... some kind of "photo identification"?
well that's true..But they also slipped in the lines from Misha Kruschschev and Kanzaki about how there was some corruptive way that Espers could utilize magic.
hmmm, maybe they meant the "superpowers" there and not really "magic", but I doubt it.. but it must be somehow corruptive, because Index cleary said that Espers can't use magic.
did you notice a pun here? Kuro is black in Japanese and Ko(domo) is children. Still there might be other meaning - i haven't seen kanji for her nameOriginally Posted by RyougaZell

Well her name is Shirai Kuroko, and doesn't Shirai mean "White" ?
Coming soon on Blu-Ray and DVD... (and MKV for us)
Index-tan
I hope we get Mikoto-tan and MISAKA-tan in future episodes...
EDIT:
Just found the raw torrent so we will probably get a subbed version soon.
I guess this would be expected since Index is animated by the same studio that did Shana. Still, the last panel made me smile for some reason.![]()

... so they're gonna make a chibi-loli?
I take it Archie never saw the Shana-tan OVAs, or the Hecate-tan OVA for Shakugan no Shana.
1) Take loli
2) Make uber-chibi
3) Make her say her trademark lines replacing all of the 's' sounds with 'ch'
e.g. "Urusai!" --> "Uruchai!"
4) Make her eat food larger than the size of her body.
5) Wait for fanboys and girls to hear about the OVAs only available on the two episodes per disc, $60USD DVDs or $80USD Blu-Ray.
6) No ??? required, just time.
7) Profit.
