    Hyakko

Based on a shounen manga by Haruaki Katou which is serialised online on

Hyakko is a manga whose main heroines were four girls when the story started. But as the story goes, many unique classmates show up. Those girls sometimes twist the heroine around their little finger or vise versa. In many situations, they all have noisy get-togethers with each other, and that is really fun.

This certainly is no Manabi Straight... But maybe it's something between it and Joshikousei. I was surprised by the sudden attack against the teacher so suddenly, but if that's any sign of things to come, who knows, this might be a series worth watching. Otherwise I don't think this was a particularly strong start. The whole thing of wandering lost for the duration of a whole episode felt somewhat meaningless.

So anyone watched the first 3 episodes? I've skimmed through some of it, and this seems like it can be a fun series, so I'm wondering...

Here are all 3 releases so far:

I've been following this series since the first episode. It's pretty okay.

I'm following this series too. It has the Azumanga Daioh "feel" to it.

    <3 Tessa-chan! <3 Lucifus! ....chotto mate.

I'd have to say the first half of episode 3 has been the highlight of the series so far.

    [Mayu-Genjo] Episode 4 (h264 HD)

The second half of episode 4 was great. The lesbian class rep is my favorite character by far.

I fully agree with BoC... the class rep is the highlight of the series, imo. And I loved the "photo session". This is definitely one of the most interesting shows this season.

No episode this week though... =(

It's dangerous to go alone. Take Nep.

Really enjoying the series. Feels a bit like Minami-ke.

Watched all 13 episodes, with 10 out by Mayu-Genjo, then 11-13 by Doremi. Really enjoyed it. Besides Kannagi, this has been the only other series I really enjoyed out of this anime season. I got bored with Index/Gundam 00 pretty early on, and might decide to watch those later on.

I really hope there's a second season, though I really doubt it.

Cool. I liked the 10 episodes that I got from Mayu-Genjo, I haven't seen the last 3 yet. I saw that Doremi released them, but I haven't had the time to watch them. I've been marathoning Tower of Druaga and Gurren Lagann. I'm on ep 24 of Lagann, so I'll probably finish Hyakko afterwards.
