i loved this episode.
damn, i could watch their school life forever. actually, there´d be enough material to make more, alternative versions of the whole series....like finally focusing on Sunohara a bit more.

Cool episode. Tomoya being Junior and Nagisa being first-year Senior (she did flunk the first year when first episode of Clannad came around) made an interesting backstory. Kyou was already interested in him, so this would have escalated into something potential, but it was more into Nagisa's side, with the occasional Tomoya and Sunohara skits.

There was not enough Kyou.
Kyou was always the most overlooked character in this series. Aside from some physical comedy which was always eclipsed by Tomoyo's violence (usually in the same episode), and the occasional sexually charged pose, she got the shaft on development.
So Tomoyo After followed by Kyou Subsequent a few seasons from now?
A really good episode. Funnily enough it made Kyou seem more important than Nagisa, at least as far as the whole cast is considered. It also nicely showed why those two were referred to as troublemakers and delinquents, despite the fact Tomoya during the main series spent far more time helping people than causing any trouble (to the order).
It certainly would have been nice to learn how Tomoya would have fared with Kyou as well. But I guess we will never learn. And it's not like the single episode Tomoyo version would have been that enlightening anyway, either.
I think back in Season 1, they made it seem as though Kyou was interested in Tomoya first, but then Ryou too developed feelings for him. Well now that we know Kyou was actually a whole year early to the gun, it really boosts her sister-loving/caring side.
I didn't actually realise this was the year BEFORE Nagisa and Tomoya met officially. Explains the missing Tomoyo action then.
As much as I do like Kyou, I do think the more study and less fiery personality of Tomoyo suits our main character the best - he's not the one to need constant beating neither (though seeing Kyou Sensei with Adult Tomoya a few eps back were REALLY convincing, partially because Kyou's been domesticated, for lack of a better word. Sunohara X Kyou however, seems like an interesting couple, unlikely as it is that Kyou would have eyes for him.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
I'm not sure how many people are aware of this but a manga adaptation of Tomoyo After was released and translated a while ago.
get it at Mangatraders or read online.
no matter how many time i see it or hear it, the part where the pan hits nagisa on the head and the noise she makes is just too funny; im sorry for her but i just cant help it.
If the Key creators decide to make a spin-off, a quick ova 5-6 eps of tomoyo after would be on top of their lists, but to many people and myself, the 2 other endings from the game would be better or at least a bit more satisfactory than the ending tomoyo's story would end with (think AIR).
All that we see or seem to see is but a dream within a dream
Yeah, and Tomoyo (while I love her) already got her own episode. I think a Kyou one is in order, if they go for alternate endings.
Peace.
Let's end the series with a totally useless recap episode, shall we...
Episode 24 Final h264 - SS-Eclipse
Episode 24 Final xvid - SS-Eclipse
It must have had at least 10 seconds of new material! Why didn't they make an onsen or beach episode instead. Bastards.

A recap episode. Like Kraco said, nothing new, so I can't give much thought for this episode.

Come to think of it, that's like the only thing this show's missed. They always accompany harem/slice of life anime. Now I feel cheated.Originally Posted by Kraco
Recap episode did pretty well in reliving the entire story in ~20mins. While not the least interesting, it reminded me of my favourite parts in this show:
-Kyou
-Tomoyo's combo counter
-Cat lady, to name a couple.
Pretty alright way to end the show IMO. Now that the second series has done an ending with such closure, as well as a 24 ep run (first season had 23 + Tomoyo DVD special), I doubt there'll be any new DVD-release material.

I liked the recap, took me back through most of the good memories I had of the series.
While a beach episode might have been the traditional thing to do I just don't see it working right with Clannad for some reason. I can imagine it all happening in my head but it just doesn't feel like it would fit with the rest of the show quite right, I'd certainly still watch it though. Tomoyo and Kyou would end up splashing each other furiously with those determined looks they get on their faces while Ryou tried pathetically to stop them. Kotomi would probably either try to tell jokes to little kids or learn to swim while wearing a ridiculous looking floaty thing (she'd be the one wearing the school swimsuit). Fuko would have an even more ridiculous looking floaty thing and be trying to hypergenki the water out of her way possibly in the background not noticed by anyone else. Nagisa would probably swear off getting wet but end up tripping and falling into the water anyway only to be saved by Tomoya in yet another scene of 'retarded moe' romance. Akio would show up at some point in a speedo with Sanae tagging along in the hottest one piece you've ever seen, snacks would be brought including some form of doom bread which Sunohara would most likely ingest. Sunohara would mostly be in the background somehow antagonizing Tomoyo and Kyou in order to earn some hilarious retribution. Mei-chan would be there as well, ostensibly to get swimming lessons from Sunohara but of course being neglected instead. And all the while Tomoya would be juggling trying to keep everyone from killing themselves or each other letting loose an exasperated sigh every few minutes.

That's a pretty good summary of an episode we never got, Yuki. I have to admit that.
Come to think of it, this recap episode actually did have one funny part: Due to its format, everything shown was what Tomoya told Ushio. So, basically he was telling her daughter that her beautiful kindergarten teacher was ready to give her virginity to her dad... While that may be something to brag about, I wonder if your five years old daughter is the correct audience...
Now I need to see this non-existent episode.Originally Posted by Yukimura
