it thins the metal of his suit unless done either with the original legs/material or the philosophers stone. I'm almost certain it was mentioned before, though i couldnt tell you where. i think it also has to do with the fact that only Ed knows how to do so effectively, so maybe he needed the stone's boost to do it correctlyOriginally Posted by Carnage
Regular transmutation would require him to transmute something equivalent into legs. The stone allows him to use the energy of the sacrificed to grow more metal.
