I know the songs will (should?) be different, nonetheless, I will watch the prequel show with great pleasure, should they be able to cope with the first series.

I don't think I've seen another anime whose OP fits the series as well as ef's.

Like the first series based on the ef - a fairy tale of the two adult romance game franchise, Shin Oonuma will direct the animators at SHAFT.

This is great news, since what made the first season for me was the sheer genius of the direction. I still believe Ef could not have been done better (or even equally good) in any medium other than anime.
