I was thinking that myself. One of those slightly crazy people with a good eye. It did seem out of character for Yuuto to be like this. Then again, it's the first time he's been matched up with Haruka's peers, and I myself would be self conscious too, no matter how much I believed in myself before.

Being the second last episode already does seem a bit sad. Though there's been development, I hoped to see more of how their relationship will go, as well as how other obstacles present themselves.

Nevertheless, the next ep sounds like a rather warming conclusion. (and satisfying, if those rich guys get a nice slap in the face.)

I wouldn't mind seeing another season of this, unlikely as it is

Well, as expected, the ending couldn't do much wrong. Yuuto dispaired, then showed up to show the poofy guy down. It surprised me greatly that they were hitting it on, pantsu shots and all. Then I expected the girls to rush in. Then the eels got in the way, and I thought, wow, they're going all the way .

When they really dropped in, it was I should have known better .

All in all, a nice little series. Nothing much really happened these 12 episodes. No real love rival, no in-laws-to-be that couldn't be taken care of, and none of that memory loss plot that seems to surface one form or another in these too-good-to-be-true romance series. Still, they fleshed out the different, and mostly comedic characters at a leisurely pace, and events flowed well from start to finish.

I found that it was pretty much a short series that served to introduce anime-watchers to the Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu manga, and it does a very good job of it.

I have never liked triangles so I was perfectly happy Shiina took the hint and stayed out of picture. Maybe it's less excitement but I didn't mind. This last episode had too much hesitation for Yuuto to be believable in my opinion, considering how steady his deep friendship with Haruka already is, but it was conquered in good order fortunately. The potential for ecchi surprised me at the end but naturally it was disrupted. A nice ending nonetheless.

I'll be waiting for a real subber. For a while. I refuse to believe the whole future of anime is something called "HorribleSubs". I guess m.3.3.w is as dead as a nine times died cat but maybe someone else...

m.3.3.w says they're willing to pick up shows, but they're currently not looking at ones that are crunchyroll-subbed.

That is, like half the season.

I watched Mamiko subs. They were decent enough, but the font was ugly.

Aside from that, I wasn't impressed with this new episode. The characters had a lot more charm back in the old series, but since the first run all but completed the protagonist's little romance, that left this new episode sitting without much of a plot.

Yeah, they were pretty hideous. The subs were better than the ones that CR used though.

I enjoyed the first episode and thought it was a good start to the new series. It seems like they're going to focus on Shiina trying to get closer to Yuuto, which is something I wanted to happen in the first series. Haruka pretty much had Yuuto all to herself last time and Shiina was left out, so I'm hoping for more of a triangle this season with Yuuto having to choose one or the other.

I really dislike Haruka (and all characters that fall in the same category). I would like to root for Shiina, but since the title is what it is, she basically has no chance making it pointless for me to do so.

I went throught the trouble of replacing the font in Mamiko's release and remuxing only to encounter the horrible censoring that rendered the episode unwatchable. There's something wrong with the censor's head when he/she thinks it's okay to cover the screen so extensively you have no idea who the characters even are behind all the whiteness. Like hell I'm going to watch something like that.

    How was the Horriblesubs release?

Subs were bad. Oni-chan was translated as cute boy, Haruna the lacrosse girl was called Haruka a couple of times, Mika called Haruka "big sis" and then "sister Haruka", and some names were spelled wrong.

HS version had all that steam censoring as well.

What's makes it worse (or better?) is that despite the heavy censoring, the steam doesn't remove the image out completely, but makes all the scenes whiter. I spent half the time watching that episode at an angle of depression of 45 degrees so I can get some enjoyment out of this.

Unless the story picks up a bit more and a group picks up the uncensored raws, I'm considering dropping this at least temporarily.

Seeing the second ep releases reminded me that

    S2 Episode 1 - Shinji-w.0.0.f

is a version even I could watch due to a significant reduction in the amount of stupid censoring. In fact, it was decently uncensored (revealing the fact there shouldn't have been censoring in the first place because nothing absolutely explicit was shown).

Not such a strong episode otherwise and I hate the little maid girl. Why is she even employed? Surely Japan has some child labor laws as well. And just why does a show like this need a little girl with super powers, eh?

Anyway, from now on I'll watch only Shinji-w.0.0.f releases. If I want to stare at smooth whiteness, I can stare at my fridge door or something whenever I want.

    It was a lot better.
The only remaining white fog was Haruka entering water. I guess it was considered too much.

Even if it is not a great show, butchering it with censorship only worsen things.

All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.

Does anyone know what Doki fansubs are like? Which one is the way to go?
