The sonic game looks promising, and I don't know I've always loved the rail parts in Adventure 2.
Nintendo was sooooo disappointing.

I'm willing to give all aspects of the game a chance since honestly I think Sonic Team is doing a great job so far. Mixing the old school Sonic side scroller with the rail running just looks like so much fun. And it looks like its going to be all Sonic, no Tails, Knuckles, or Amy, or anyone else.Originally Posted by darkshadow
But the Werehog parts feel too slow for my tastes. The platforming and combat wasn't that great in Sonic Adventure 2 with Tails/Eggman and Knuckles/Rouge (don't know why they picked rap music for Knuckles' levels >_>) which is probably why I was hoping Sega would avoid it all together and just give us the original Sonic formula we all knew and loved.
We'll see what happens. Right now, Sonic Unleashed is looking great overall.
This fantastic Sousuke sig was made by the one and only Lucifus! Thanks man!
I love the rail parts too, but thats not what i meant with rail runner, i mean that sonic moves by himself, and you just point him right and left and jump and such.
Anyway, Konami presser started off with the MGO GENE announcement and the MGO world tournament, seems they will seek out the best MGO players to compete against each other, sounds interesting.
Some rock revolution stuff next
Silent hill homecoming, and then a trailer by igarashi on castlevania Order of ecclasia on the ds god this looked great *drool*, i need this game, aside from shanoa ( the girl ) they showed 2 more chars, among which was a guy with a gun. Fall 2008 release.
Then it was time for castlevania judgement for the wii, started of with a trailer
Simon belmont, dracula, Alucard(!), maria.
This didn't really wow me, but it did seem really interesting, looked like a much deeper version of power stone 1, or better yet, it looked like naruto ultimate ninja storm, also Fall 2008, there will prolly be some connectivity between the 2 games.
Then he explained something about the story, but i wasn't paying attention ;o.
Live demo time, he explained the controls here, pretty straightforward wii controlls, press button + shake remote etc, and how you can use the enviroment to your advantage ( like items and NPC's like zombies ).
Silent hill homecoming trailer, starts of with some mysterious and cryptic stuff, before diving into the silent hill goodness, lots of freaky things.
Live demo time, started from the 5th mission in the game, showing off a quick inventory system and havok physics everywhere, now the stuff really started, the normal to silent hill world transition started, and this looked so awesome, since it was all realtime.
Then some dialog tree stuff, things you say determine the outcome, replayability blablabla.
After the cinematic, boss battle time, lots of nasty stuff.
Overall the game looked really good. This was the 360 version btw.
Then Rock Revolution, for the wii.
Started out with rocking out on stage, with real instruments......before moving on to the actual game, it seems the drumkit has 7 pads, the dev was pretty horrible at the game though rofl, while she was pretty good on the real bass, she actually made them loose the game lol.
Other than that not much more was explained about the game, cept that it has a 7 pad drumkit and (bass)guitar, didn't see any vocals.
Don't think it will beat GH or Rockband though.
Anyway that concluded the Konami presser, which was the last one, 1.5 days more left of E3, but we didn't see anything about stuff like Alan Wake even, meh.
edit: Just caught a x360 Star wars force unleashed hands on, though i already thought the game looked really interesting, but after seeing the hands on, i have to say the game looks fantastic, try to catch some show floor gameplay of it if you can.
edit2: caught another hands on with mercenaries 2, where they also showed off a nuke, looks amazing, can't wait to play it.
also Dead Rising... for the Wii, yes... seems it's just a port though, nothing announced yet about extra content. ( there was a rumor way back of capcom working on coop DLC for dead rising though... )

i just had to share this, this was during the bionic commando hands on ( which looked awesome).
yes the claw worked >_>.
Bionic Commando is looking fantastic. Looks even better than Spider-Man Web of Shadows just based on the swinging through the levels and combat (though WoS is looking to be the best Spidey game in the franchise so far because of the air combat).
Most companies have a really solid line-up for this year. This holiday season is going to rock for sure.

All the Spider-man games so far suck in combat, and its ridiculous to take so many combos and hits to take out normal thugs when you have super human strength. All I wish for is that they improve on the the free swinging and roaming environment. Just being able to do that is fun enough for me.

There was alot of stuff this year and looks like my games library is going to get a much needed expansion this fall, hell I might even buy a PS3. Anyway I'm surprised no one has mentioned Deadly Creatures it looks like an interesting title and I'm always in need of Wii games to play. I'm also surprised no one has mentioned Golden Axe yet, although the game itself doesn't seem all that impressive Golden Axe was one of my favorite games as a kid so I'm looking forward to giving it another go.
There is just so much I've gotta get, Halo Wars, Mercenaries 2, Star Wars, RE5, Prince of Persia looks like its going to be fantastic, more Portal and for some reasom I really want Little Big Planet.
Dreaming impossible dreams.
Sapphire is awesome!
Im buying Dead Rising for the Wii definitely
That game looked great on xbox360 (which I don't own, and will not either). Obviously it will be toned down graphically for the wii... but it will definitely be awesome to smash zombies with the wiimote... wonder if it will support wii motion plus?
wiimotion plus was great, but I feel like this is what the wiimote should have been Day 1. Its another peripheral that's splintering the player base.

This new Golden Axe seems to have very little in common with its roots. No multiplayer and trying to cater to kids with a hyper-sexualized protagonist.I'm also surprised no one has mentioned Golden Axe yet, although the game itself doesn't seem all that impressive Golden Axe was one of my favorite games as a kid so I'm looking forward to giving it another go.
Biggest surprises for me were Mirror's Edge and Fable 2. Fable 2 seems to be brimming in dark humor. You guys should really check out the Spider-man trailers if you get a chance, it seems different from the trash Treyarch makes.
Project Origin and Stalker Clear Sky are some PC titles I'm looking forward to. E3 really showed things are going smoothly with these two games.
Anyone see Valkeria Chronicles? I read about the game like a year ago when I was trying to see if there are any good RPGs lined up for the PS3. It was announced at E3 too I believe, because I watched the trailer thruogh PSN.
This game looks absolutely gorgeous!
Valkyria Chronicles has been swimming the net for a while. Its being released this october or november (can't recall the date) in America.

The camera's also been changed, from behind-and-above-Frank to the view/style employed in Resident Evil 4. Because of this, they've removed the photo mode, as apparently it just wasn't working. Finally, they've added new enemies, new weapons, and new waggle controls to make the most of both of them.
That was to be expected. After all... CRAPcom is the one that said that Wii users didn't like though games as an excuse to make Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles a simple (and way bad) arcade-like-shooter.
