Don't see any releases for OP and ED, so maybe they aren't doing ordered chapters for this series... keep an eye out for them just in case. I think this will be a good slice-of-life type of deal, maybe with some action.... I think it'll be a good one. I may be mistaken though, we'll see.

Natsume Takashi has the ability to see spirits, which he has long kept secret. However, once he inherits a strange book that belonged to his deceased grandmother, Reiko, he discovers the reason why spirits surround him. Containing the names of these spirits, a binding contract was formed between the spirits and the owner of the book. Now, Natsume is determined to free the spirits and dissolve the contracts. With the help of a spirit cat, his days are filled trying to return the names to these spirits.

Series by Brain Base, who I think is turning out to be quite a production team: Kurenai, Baccano!, Kamichu!

I've watched up to episode 5 and I definitely like this show. Reminds me of Mushishi with all the variety of 'ghosts'.

Hope we get some romance in here but unless we get someone else introduced the only candidate is the dudes grandmother......hmm....

The other candidate I don't like much but its better than his grandmother.

Well, not all stories need romance but we'll see how it goes.

Aww kinda sad that there isn't that many watching this. Ohh well the first episode of the second season came out not long ago and well I'm really happy that it started again and since I read somewhere that there would be more character interaction etc I'm quite looking forward to seeing the rest.
    You are here alone again
    In your sweet insanity
All too calm, you hide yourself from reality
Do you call it solitude? Do you call it liberty?

I watched all of the episodes in the first season and enjoyed it thoroughly. It's such a mellow, calm series as evident by the ED. And yeah, it's a shame it doesn't get much attention, but sleeper hits are always great.

Also, first episode was subbed by BSS.

For those that have seen this, what kind of character interactions should I expect? Since it is episodic, I am wary that it may bore me if it does not have interesting and deep characters. Is there comedy, romance or drama?

No romance, but comedy and a tiny bit of episodic drama. Character interactions are pretty good, since a big focus in this series is the interaction between the two main characters, Natsume and his trusty fat good luck cat, Madara.

It feels kinda like Mushishi in it's mellowness.

Seen 4 episode so far, and this really insn't my type of series. I think I'll watch it though, but it's really not my thing.

    Season 2 Episode 2 - BSS

For the very few of you who're following this series.

I wanted to revive this thread just to say this season has been awesome. Especially this last episode.

We finally get to see the other aspect of this world, youkai hunters. Its sad to see Natsume trying so hard to find a place in the world, but even here he doesn't fit in. Unlike everyone else, he's just too powerful a human to be fearful of every demon.

I love this series and episode 11 really showed just how powerful Natsume is, before his punching youkai was portrayed as comedy which made it hard to notice Hatsume's power.

Right now i want to know, who is Natsume's grandfather since Reiko didn't liked humans much? and How Reiko died?

It hard series to get into but once you do. You are sealed till the end.
