I just watched he first one today, and though the movie had potential, it was ruined by painful action scenes, horrible dialog, one liners that were there just for the sake of being one liners....not to mention some pretty bad acting at times.

I hope its not the same director doing this movie.

It is the same director. What's strange is that I saw 2 other movies he directed, Pan's Labyrinth and The Devil's Backbone, and they were both great movies....but the original Hellboy was exactly as described by Assassin.

Let's hope this movie can be at the same level of Pan's Labyrinth and The Orphanage. The saga deserves it, as well as the comic >.>

I just saw this movie today, just got back. The ending was meh, but all in all the movie was bad ass. Had some really cool action scenes, and you see a little bit of Abe doing some dodging. It also had some really funny parts to it as well, especially the scene when they are drunk and singing that song. I was also thinking about why Liz always kissed him on the head and its because his mouth is so big....... but the whole having 2 kids thing, I did not know he had a penis lol.

This second one is definitely better than the first one in my opinion. The prince is such a badass!! I thought the funniest scene is the locker scene. Surprisingly, really funny. And I love love love the monsters in the movie!! The costumes the makeup are just simply amazing.

I'm waiting for another movie to impress me this summer and hellboy didn't do that.

It was ok but i wasn't really wow'd by many parts of the movie.

Sadly I watch these movies for the creatures that are not Hellboy, he is by far my least favorite part of the movies and I would love to watch something in this world not based on him!

That being said, the rest of the monsters are very cool and the prince rules even if he died.
