    Game: Chrono Trigger DS

So... this website popped out yesterday on both Square Enix Japan and USA

    http://na.square-enix.com/ctds/

Rumors say enhanced port with new dungeons. Time will tell.

    EDIT:

This will give me a solid reason to purchase a DS finally. I am curious about what kind of features the wireless multiplayer will provide.

Looking forward to this one, the only way I've managed to play the original in the past was via emulator (the game was never released in my country) and the save game kept corrupting.

This was the first thing I stumbled upon this morning when I woke up. Saw the news on Gamespot. Needless to say it was the best morning ever.

Can't wait for this one to come out. Release is slated for this holiday season!
This fantastic Sousuke sig was made by the one and only Lucifus! Thanks man!

Yeah Chrono Trigger was awesome, but I wish they would start porting games. Maybe if they remade Chrono Trigger like they did FF2 and 4, it'd be a bit better. But, they're really failing in the innovation department. They've remade practically all their early final fantasy's onto another system.

Hmmmm..... So now I've played this game on the SNES and PSX. DS is next? If it's just a port with new some new features, I think I'll pass. And here I was hoping for a PS3/360 remake in some HD graphics. Or at least like animus mentioned with improved graphics on the DS.

I bet it's because it's too hard to do CT's battle system. And it probably won't look too good in DS graphics.

    Thumbs up

Damn, I've got a psp, but no DS. Anyhow, I loved playing this game on zSnes over and over switching up the parties, trying to get the different endings, etc. I remember the last I had heard about it before today, was when a group of amateur developers were served a 'cease and desist' from Square because they were remaking the game in 3D!.
I wish they would've allowed them to go forward or that Square would just do it themselves. Ah well, we're still waiting on a re-release of FF7 for ps2 or next gen systems.

So it's confirmed to be just a port with extras here and there. Fail.

It can't be just that, i'm sure they'll at least do something creative with the touchscreen
