Episode was tits as far as I'm concerned.
At least in the animea, it appears you can use chakra through any weapon but using a "chakra weapon" is much more powerful.
Seriously though, fucking survivor guilt lands Sora a damned chakra claw and what does Naruto get? Jack squat!
And damned if white hair isn't Sora's dad. What do you know about that.
It could be white hair with the parallel of the dad buying his son the hot potatoes and white hair eating hot potatoes with Sora at the campfire. White hair did appear immediately after the father/son scene too.
lol at drunk Yamato stirring his drink with his wooden finger
Another week of waiting for a filler episode...
I don't like the fact that Sora seems to have as much chakra as naruto, his freakish stamina is all the poor guy has going for him and this filler even takes that from him.
They could at least try and make it seem like this filler truly extends the real storyline as opposed to filling in for it. Naruto just learned that if he creates a bunch of clones and they all try to do the same thing he'll learn a lot faster. Now I can get behind the Kyuubi supression necessitating Yamato, however I don't see why a) Kakashi would need to be there and b) why even Yamato would need to be there if Naruto scalesed back the clone quantity to only a few dozen or so.
People are supposed to believe he completely abandoned all the ideas behind his revolutionary new training method all of a sudden why?
I agreed with A) but now with B) , the risks are just too great, i mean can u even imagine having a 4 tails running loose on Konoha? The casualties would be enormous.
But yeah, it would make sense for naruto to at least continue his leaf cutting training even tough Kakashi isn't there
Well, the more obvious reason that White-hair is his father is because he has the same Voice Actor as his dad. And the huge scar across his face obviously came from Asuma's last attack.Originally Posted by chet_chettyThe answer to that is simple. Naruto actually enjoys having a rival and likes the competition against them. As long as Sora trains normally, Naruto will too.Originally Posted by Yukimura

that's the kind of reasoning I dont likeOriginally Posted by DarthEnder
Actually he hasn't cut a whole leaf yet so that part of the training still isn't done.Originally Posted by Assertn
hmmm I remember that he did manage to cut one fully
when they were on the way to the fire temple he did it for example
I didn't remember him having been shown finishing the leaf cutting stage in the anime either but since The Archangel says he didn't I probably just forgot that he did.
However, that's not my main issue. The sense of urgency that was there during Naruto's real training has become pretty muted in filler Naruto. We're supposed to buy that he cares more about playing fair in training with Sora then he does about getting stronger as quickly as possible so he can save Sasuke from Oro (who should be able to body swap pretty soon).
I'm don't have much cause for attacking the filler for being lame since it seems alright, but the fact that the filler Naruto doesn't seem to be the same character that was in the episodes leading up to the filler is bothersome in its own right. When they inserted the filler about the racing between retrieve Tsunade and Chase Sasuke they did a pretty good job of making the behaviors of the characters during the filler fit with the behaviors they had right before and right after the filler. Sasuke's resentment towards Naruto is seen steadily growing throughout the arc, culminating in the rooftop fight that originally happened right after Sasuke woke up from getting beatdown/Mangakyoued.
But this time around we have the Naruto who went into the fillers intent on improving himself through clone training so he could take face Sasuke again, abruptly deciding that it's not such a big deal to go lolly-gagging around the village falling in love with some random monk kid. Are abrupt character personality changes only annoying if you've read the manga?

Hmmm a powerful kid that sees as a rival... ring any bells?Originally Posted by Yukimura
Think for a second and you'll see that naruto is training with Sora because he reminds him of his long lost friend, not only that he relates to him since the scornful eyes he saw from the other monks
Stop thinking about the manga and you'll realize that this filler arc is actually pretty good
Nah I agree...
and more often than not, Naruto's dumbest moments are realized in fillers.

Naruto has definitely cut all the way through the leaf already. Twice in fact.
Naruto is dumb 24/7, that has nothing to do with the fillers.
But yeah they tend to have some inconsistencies regarding the main plot, all u xan do is interpret them in a way that suits the whole story to the best of your ability i guess
Okay, Archangel stop this filler arc isn't any different from other filler arcs. Secondly, Yuki never said this filler was bad he said they were changing the characters and interrupting the pace which is exactly the problem with fillers and if they were doing the anime properly in the first place then no one would even be interested in this filler.
You know I don't even know why they showed that or what they are going to do about it because the moment he completed that training, which should have been later on, he was supposed to move on to the next stage.Originally Posted by DarthEnder
