Well, it's official now. The Raikage is on the cover of that game. Wii always gets the newest characters first it seems.
Wii had the first Shippuuden game.
It was the first to have Hidan and Kakuzu.
The first to have playable Kurenai and Asuma.
Now it's the first system with the Raikage.
You can see the cover in the newest scan.
Edit: Bigger cover art pic.
That sucks, especially since UNS2 supposedly isn't getting any dlc ;/.
-----------------
Tried the demo of it recently and found it to be ok, didn't feel complicated same as all the other Naruto games I've tried from CyberConnect 2, but it was fun enough maybe a bit too short though.
You are here alone again
In your sweet insanity
All too calm, you hide yourself from reality
Do you call it solitude? Do you call it liberty?
When all the world turns away to leave you lonely
So......yeah..........
-Jumped straight onto multiplayer and pretty much ran through all of the default characters. There's team mode, or single player mode. To be honest, while single player may seem like a good idea, it's pretty boring. Having a team keeps the momentum going when you're down, avoids unevenful chakra showdowns, allows the use of distractions and balances each player's weaknesses against the enemy a lot better. Not to mention the scary team combo!
- There's no longer a charge bar for ninjutsu techniques, which makes things interesting, to say the least. The overall feel is that it seems "less technical", but that's not true. Save for a few characters (Guy's dynamic entry, for example), many of the characters have had their ninjutsu casting time slowed time, so a ninjutsu attack after substituting out of receiving a combo tends to be met with a guard. Compared to that, a throw is pretty damn fast to use. Ninjutsu is integrated into combos better though, on the other hand. Back in UNS, the slight pause due to the combo "break" in order to cast ninjutsu, as quick as the actual casting was, was enough to set up a block. The integration here (depends on timing) makes it a seamless follow-through. Neji's ultimate is pure eyegasm to look at.
-Awakenings play much bigger role in this game. You'll almost always get to use it. They reduced the life bar by one whole bar, so you're still low on health, yet the mode is available relatively early. In fact, quite often both parties will get to awaken multiple times. Some of the stuff they come up with is pretty hilarious (like Kankuro's).
-Character-wise, there are some that are uber sweet, and some that are pretty crap. I haven't found a way to integrate ninjutsus into Shino's combos. Sakura's got some pretty major flaws in her complete lack of range. (her awakened mode is hax though - her rock shattering punches throw you just far enough - to let her jump and smash you again - and again!). Any character that has a quick ninjutsu casting time gets my vote - and from memory, Asuma's a complete beast. Konoha's Green Beast is pretty powerful too, as he retains his lightning quick dynamic entry.
-"I find that there's a lot more reading of the opponents to figure out what move you should use on your opponent compared to the older UNS." <- true for most ninjutsu, untrue for Ultimate ninjutsus. If anything, Ultimates are way easier to cast and hit in UNS2. Bummer that there will no longer be any pre-battle button mashing though (and with that, jutsu clashes).

If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
I got it today too, but I'm in school and I have 2 parties to attend to so I won't be able to play till tonight.
What number is your cell btw? >_>

Just got my copy. #43038.
Edit: my redeem code doesn't seem to work. Tried different regions. Is it time sensitive or something?

Still doesn't work
Do I need to get somewhere in the game first? Or am I signing into a wrong region of PSN?

I got it to work. Realised I had a region 4 copy and not a region 3 one.
Thanks for the help!

Does anyone else feel that the gameplay (free battle-wise) doesn't have as much depth as the first game?
I get the feeling that this one's broader (more chars), but shallower.
It could be a biased view though, since I learned UNS from scratch while this one had much less of a learning curve because of that.

I just saw the final roster for the Wii game today and I have to say the Storm 2 roster is way better. It's the Wii's roster that fell behind and it makes no sense.
They have the Raikage, but no Pain, no Konan, no Tobi/Madara, no Jugo, no Karin, and no Suigetsu. Seriously, how do you have Sage Naruto, but not the guy he fought against??
Top Row
Anbu Kakashi, Ino, Choji, Shikamaru, Asuma, Sakura, Naruto, Sai, Yamato, Kiba, Shino, Hinata, Kurenai
Second Row
Kabuto, Anko, Orochimaru, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Sasuke, Random Select Box, Itachi, Kakuzu, Hidan, Deidara, Sasori, Hiruko
Third Row
Yugao, Tenten, Neji, Lee, Guy, Kakashi, Killer Bee, Kisame, Gaara, Kankuro, Temari, Chiyo, Baki
Fourth Row
Minato, Sage Naruto, Raikage
That's really odd. Definitly makes UNS 2's better. It probably means the story mode doesn't go as far either.
Though somewhat cool that they still include Yugao and Baki even though if you replaced them, Anbu Kakashi, Kurenai, Anko and Hiruko with Pein and such, the roster would've been considerably less sucky.
-----------------
What's everyone's favorite character to use?
Hinata, gaara, tsunade and tobi.
I generally only use Pein as support, but with tobi I also use killerbee/pein.
For gaara and Tsunade I just use sand/sannin teams.
Deidara is very badass too though, but he is annoying for people that don't know how to fight him, so I don't use him a lot when I'm playing someone.
-----------------
My personal favourite's Minato and Chiyo.
Puppets are a lot easier to use in this game than the last one, and frequently kick ass.
A few other characters are fun, like Asuma, but I haven't played in a while so I can't really remember the specifics.

I totally dislike standard tobi's moves.. he's funny and all but what I really love about him is when he turns into Madara.
and he seems to be a really good support character.
Asuma is really fun to play too because his combos and especially his ultimate jutsu are nice to look at
I don't play online though so I don't know how good each character really is.
I find Naruto really easy to play because u can combine a full combo (if it gets through that is) + a rasengan without much effort.

I think Tobi's dives are pretty good. They're especially good when you're somewhat visually obscured, and can take them by surprise.
The other "fun" bit is when you miss, your cool-down screws you over badly.
