It doesn't really make sense, just cause they fight differently, that could've just been another costume, like any other transformation.
But I'm guessing they want to keep it to 2 costumes and a transformation per character.

But still, 42 char slots and 44 playable....either there are secret chars..or they are counting 6 tails and another transformation as different characters :[.

Well according to this The game also has a DTS audo track. I was a bit on the fence still which version to get, since UNS didn't have that track.
So it seems the PS3 version is completely superior, will be getting that version then.

Yeah, Madara seems to be his Awakening Mode like the Six-Tails is Sage Naruto's Awakening Mode.

Playable susanoo? That's awesome, also Tobi looks like a lot of fun to play with. Though If they aren't counting 6tails and madara as characters 43/44, then who the hell are the last 2 characters? Perhaps 44 were just an error..

Also I noticed he played without support characters =O, that's a pretty great option imo.

Yeah, dude. Itachi's awakening is f'n killer. It's one of my favorite three along with Sage Naruto's and Killer Bee's. Susanoo, Six-Tails, and Eight-Tails respectively. It's too bad that people like Pain only get a stat boost as an awakening. I'm hoping that there is an option that allows you to start out in awakening mode. Starting out as the Eight-Tails or Madara and staying like that the whole time would be awesome.

Yeah I was a bit meh'd by Pein's awakaning. They could've at least giving his powers bigger range or something...meh.

The start with awakaning mode was in UNS, once you got everyone, so I'm guessing the same will apply for UNS2.

Also...8-tails.....did I miss something? >_>
Does normal naruto go 8-tails?

Wait never mind...you meant 8 tails as in Killer Bee ;P...yeah that looked pretty sweet too.

I'm wondering about that also. I'm guessing they're counting Hokage Naruto as a separate character, but that only takes the count to 43. There are 4 Narutos and 3 Sasukes in this game, so far. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a fourth version of Sasuke somewhere also. I see the roster like this.. 40 unique characters + the extra Sasukes and Narutos.

Look at the first video in my previous post. Hokage Naruto is in the same slot as Sage Naruto.

Also in that video I noticed that neji's throw has HUGE range when awakened, he basicaly grabbed air, that's pretty cool.

And I wondered why Madara only had a fireball, but it seems you can't even block it, since it seems it does instant guardbreak/stun...that's so nasty.

I just did a recount, and with Hokage Naruto and Lars the count is actually 45...

Yeah but the down time from the hand seals is pretty nasty too

Lars is already one of the original 42. Whom else are you counting?

Yes, I said plus Lars because he is the last character on the roster, so if you count every single appearance that is not awakaning, its 44+ Lars........I'm sad :[.
