Yeah I don't get why people talk shit about Papa John's pizza, it's the best mass produced pizza out there. I haven't ordered the freebies yet, but one is a 1-topping and the other is a 3-topping.

Where the dreamer and his dream?

I know for certain that Papa John's is better than Pizza Hut.

    Lucky you, Animeniax!

I don't think that means much. I have eaten at Pizza Hut twice in my life and the only thing that "impressed" me was the other time when I ordered a small sized pizza (I don't remember their exact terminology anymore) and they brought me a bigger one by accident. I naturally only paid what I'd have paid for the smaller size. The pizzas themselves were nothing to write home about.

The reason why Pizza Hut has a positive ring in my ears is solely due to Code Geass and C.C...

I eat whichever pizza's the cheapest, and generally that means Pizza Hut.

Does Pizza Hut thick crust in your country have a really oily and almost fried like crunchy crust?

It is definitely oily. I'm not exactly sure what consistency you're looking at when you say "fried", but it probably sounds right.

I generally eat the medium, thin or stuffed-crust bases. I used to eat the thick one because it filled you up the most for your money, but I later learned of the amount of oil that you put on the bottom as lubricant, as well as all the energy in the dough.

Aside from using several pumps of oil for their pizzas on the pan, Pizza Hut has been known to spray oil on their food (including pizza) to preserve its "freshness".

What the heck is that? Pizza is anyway covered in cheese, and I bet the cheese they use has 30+% fat as it is.

    How vile.

It's mostly sprayed on the crust, where the cheese doesn't sit.

I agree about the cheese. In fact, the thickness of the base impacts relatively little to the total calorie content of the pizza, if the their online tables are reputable.

I actually like the fried crust of Pizza Hut. I am not too fond of the pizza itself, so when we get a pizza I eat the outer crust of the entire thing and leave the rest to my friends.

My favourite crust is definitely Stuffed-Crust. It's soft and full of cheese. :3 (that makes me smile)

I love the idea of stuffed crust and ordered it every chance I got, but the end result was always disappointing. The cheese was never soft and gooey like in the commercials, it was always stringy and thick. Even heating it up didn't get it to where you were enjoying eating a cheesy breadstick.

Wow. Love how this inspired an entire discussion about pizza. That's my smile for today. Yeah I agree with pretty much everything you guys said. Ani is actually right, when it comes to mass produced pizza Papa John's is the best I've had. I don't know why most people don't understand that the crust is the best part of the pizza, stuffed or otherwise. Someday I have to get one of those people who don't even eat the crust on their pizza to explain that whole thing to me.

I have had Pizza hut twice and it is the worst pizza I have ever eaten. The first time it was oily and runny and didn't even taste like pizza and the second time it just looked like soup so I didn't even bother trying to eat it. Their latest ad campaign says they have changed their ways but I'm not buying it.

The company chef made us pizza today, actually. Only it was ridiculously spicy, much like half the things he makes. Pretty tasty, though.
