They actually are only responsible for making that technology commonplace. They hardly invented anything themselves. They just took obscure technology from left and right and made it all hip.

I think we are saying same thing Kraco, didn't say they spearheaded anything. And the rapid growth I'm talking about is Apple's, the company went for almost failing to being the largest in to world, even if it was for a short period of time.

I have a Netflix subscription and for some reason they shipped the Return of the King even though it was second in queue to the Two Towers. Called them up and they agreed to ship the Two Towers as well. At the end of the call there's an awesome 1 question customer survey: press 3 if you are satisfied with this support call or 4 if you are not. All surveys should be so succinct. That made me smile... as well as getting an extra movie to watch this weekend.

Where the dreamer and his dream?”

Considering that $1.5k was due to you overpaying your taxes, I'd say you're the one who got the shaft, buddy.

Nah, I was a college student the entire year, so I only made $5k in taxable income after all the deductions I'm entitled to... so I'm getting free money back. Gotta love our system of government.

Well, you earned that money so I'd say every penny is yours. Plus they likely made investment earnings while they had the money....ahh, nevermind. It's better to think along your lines.

No, I "earned" $15k last year. Minus all of the deductions entitled to me, I only owed taxes on $5k. I paid $500 in taxes all year, so it's kind of amazing to get a tax return of $1500 on taxes I didn't pay.

Think of it as a small scale Mitt Romney, except I got back more taxes than I paid, while he's still paying 15% taxes. He's a sucker.

How do you do taxes? I'm going to get arrested due to my ignorance.

Turbotax is the safest, cheapest, and easiest way if you don't have a lot of income or weird sources of income or deductions to make. And they're up on the latest tax code so you won't miss out on any savings. If you do make a lot of money or have complex taxes, then get an accountant.

Oh, I thought you were getting an actual refund. It's strange that you're getting more than you paid.

I've been having Linsanity the past week and a half or so. Tonight was just great, Lin hit a game winner with 0.5 seconds left. Ice in his veins.

I'm not bandwagoning either. I'm Asian AND I live in New York. So yeah.

Yeah it's pretty awesome what Lin has been doing, plus with his background it makes it even cooler. I can't believe the Rockets let him go, but hindsight is 20/20 as they say.

I bought a cheap stud finder today (stud as in construction work, not biological sense). A funny little device. Though I'm not sure if it's going to make installing shelves any easier. The amount and width of the positive signals confused me further. Who knows what's inside those walls.

Don't know much about European walls, but you can usually tell by the age of the building what's in them. It also depends on the quality of the stud finder itself. Be careful of the length of screw you put in, might get a shock if the wiring is really old.

Modern (and even semi-modern) studfinders have wiring detection functionality built in. It's pretty easy to get a read off live cables from that distance.
