I thought you were DBZ when I was reading that post which left me utterly confused. But now it makes sense. Good going.

Yesstday, I had a guy come in, and I asked "Hey, how are you going?" He ends up telling me that he's got cancer in his left lung, how his dad was a 5th Dan blackbelt, how he smashed morphine bottles in front of the nurses and asked if I wanted to go to this church down the road.

Today he came in and was 25 cents short of buying what he wanted. I chipped in 25c for him. He told me I was a nice guy, that he had cancer and was afraid of nothing, he'd kick down the doors of whoever was troubling me, and asked me to go to church. We shook hands, shook hands again, then bro-shook hands.

I'm smiling in confusion, and what I bought that day for 25c.

my psts re longr, also mor depressed.

Buff, that guy sounds like trouble - hot temper, tendency (and probably capability) towards violence and a sense that he's been wronged by the world. One moment you're a "nice guy", and the next he crosses you off because of some ridiculous reason.

I should clarify that he smashed the morphine to tell the nurses that he didn't need them. In general, he talks big but seems to be rather friendly enough.

I'd say he's more deluded more than anything. But yeah, I'll keep that in mind. I'll definitely see him again.

My first reaction was the same as DBZ's, but maybe that's what keeps people from trusting each other and forming lasting bonds. If he goes nuts and messes you up, and you survive it, consider it a lesson learned. But if it works out and he's a great guy who just needs a kind ear to vent his troubles to, you could get added to his will.

For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?

I have totally got this senpai/kohai relationship at my workplace. It'd pretty cool. :3

Oh, and I had another guy come in today (a regular) who apologised for what he said before (he told me that "No worries" sounded revolting to him - I think he means kinda cheezy and weird and unlikable), and I told him it's alright and that I'd try to avoid saying it when he's within earshot since it ticks him off.

Then he goes and tells me about astrology (which he studies) and about my time of birth to work out my Accendence(?). He tells me that when you meet someone you don't know, you first get to know their Assendence. Then when you know them a bit better, you get to know their Sun (the common astrology starsign - Capricorn for myself). And when you REALLY get to know them, you get to know their Moon.

I'm not a believer of this stuff really, but I don't mind people telling me my intrinsic qualities that I'm supposedly born with (and with this guy, I'd be interested in what he tells me). I'm just against horoscopes and predictions on how my next month/year/life is going to be, since it effects my perception of things, regardless of whether I believe them or not. I'll either try to conform to them, or try to do the opposite just to prove it wrong. The only way I'd completely disregard it will be to forget it. Given my recent trend though, forgetting seems to be my forte.

edit: I also had this guy come in today with a screenshot of a webpage that lets him get additional reward points with his card when he purchases XX amount from our store. I gave the page a read, and explained to him that he had to activate his card online for this "one-off" offer to work. He said "Then this is pointless isn't it?", and I told him that I can refund him, let him activate his offer online, then come back for the purchase again. He said something along the lines of "Fuck it", "I hate this store" etc, and pretty much carved his signature on the credit card receipt and threw it (and the pen) back at me. He then hung around the front of the store (and I wondered if he was trying to steal this bottle of red wine out of spite), but then later came back in. I asked him how I could help him, and he said "I changed my mind. Stuff it up your ass. I want a refund."

"You would like me to refund this, is that right sir?"

"Yeah. Stick it up your ass."

It took a while to do the manual refund on the products since I had to manually calculate all the discounts that he got from buying some stuff in bulk, and he complained along the lines of "I don't have time to be here all day" and "I hate this place".

"Manual refunding takes a little while sir. Please bear with me."

After that, I accidentally said "See you next time" out of habbit, to which he replied that he won't come back ever again. "Take care".

    I smile at this weirdness.

A couple of weeks ago, I was at a "celebration" for the end of my fellowship. I had quite a lot to drink at the bars we went to, and then had a whole bottle of wine at a house party, and got to at least 2st base with a woman I should not have. I was worried about that, but my friend's brother told me something really funny: "If you drank a bottle of white wine, that erases a base". I am not sure what that meant, but it made me lol.

I am sure this makes me a bad man, but I had to grin when telling one of my English friends (that lives in Korea and speaks Korean and French as well) that I felt shady for trying to arrange a date with a 22 year old French woman. He said that I should *expletive* le shit out of her. VERY crass, but it did make me chuckle.

    What's so shady about 22 y.o. French?

Completely normal considering your normal routine right?

He probably means his friend's funny jokes make him smile. You wouldn't get it because such a paragon of humor as yourself is too elevated to be amused by another's anecdotes.

I just got a ton of popchips and free stuff for doing a Zipcar promotion. I was surprised at all the free stuff they gave me. They made me take photos though :\ http://www.zipcar.com/lowcardiet/?ta...cities=chicago.

I would actually say that I am more of a manga than anime fan, but both of those are (poorly) guarded secrets. Sorry to disappoint you, good sir.

In the mail today, I got the North American release of the first volume of Otoyomegatari (Bride's Story). Comes with a dust jacket, and it is hardcover.
