sad for you that only canada has teletoon retro. they air the bugs bunny and tweety show, along with others like the smurfs and woody woodpecker, like twice a day.

i smiled when i checked my bank account this morning and discovered that i have more money at the moment than i know what to do with. it's a good thing everything was closed today or a good portion of it would've been gone already

Wife let me order Revoltech 2G Sabre, gonna look nice on my shelf when it arrives.

Sadly I have to wait on trying to get EVA units.

Installed XP on a laptop today. Had to download like a million security updates. For some reason that made me smile.

It was more a sad smile at just how many fixes it takes to make XP "safe". Otherwise, yes, XP was a pain. Especially working with laptop companies who haven't streamlined their driver-update service. That wiped the smile off my face.

What made me smile today? Today just waking up made me happy, but knowing that I had to get out of bed made me kinda sad. But I was smiling once again when I came out and saw that the sun as out and the it was a very nice day, a bit cold but nice nevertheless; even the cold can be nice when it is constant and appreiate .

Today I was just in a good mood I guess, just know that it was a new year another day i get to live; not that i am dying or anything, was a good thing.

Does it sound weird, that I am actually happy that i am approaching an age closer to the way that i feel. Does it sound weird that I am conversing and interacting with people that i consider to be worthwhile, at the same time i am not considered a kid at the same time.

It's a new year another day and my thoughts are a bit more clearer than they were a year ago.

I am finally waking down a path that i consider to be one that i actually want travel and not one that i am force to drag my feet on.

Bought a second-hand Dell Inspiron 1501 (dual core version) for $300. Good-bye to queuing for (and often unsuccessfully for) laptops/desktops at the Uni IT desk

Battery's shot though, so I'll have to bid a 9-cell one off eBay for <$100. Still a pretty good buy IMO. Came from a friend too, so I'm confident it's in working condition, and it looks like the widescreen is keeping me from my more powerful desktop

I finally got around to learning kendo. Vigorious training and steady stances are very aching, not to mention the teacher that gives out the lessons is very harsh and professional.

Someone challenged him to a one on one, to which the challenger got beaten in about a minute. Needless to say, nobody else dared to fight him again.

Was he aggressive? Or the quiet type who nails you in one strike before you know it? (This ain't the Anime Recommendation thread, but seeing you enjoy Kendo, I suggest Bamboo Blade )

Thanks, but I watched Bamboo Blade before, and I quite enjoyed it.

As for the fight, it started off as the teacher just quietly nails him in one strike. The guy tried to attack the teacher from the side, but he blocked it and countered, which is why countering has become one of my favorite moves.

And i still prefer feints, and for real fights - i heard that sword brotherhood guys are a lot better than kendo guys, even if kendo guy is 1 year of training ahead of them.

Kendo is different from real sword fight, as you practice on the grace of your sword's movement rather than the brute force. Agility is required for kendo, as well as stamina.

It was battle to the first hit with marked attack(so no brute-force) and no piecing attacks only slashes.

Hey, that's the lappy that I have! I just reinstalled xp on mine yesterday. Nice clean reformat makes for a happy computer.

I was so very happy today when I found out I wouldn't have to fail my course. Due to a long complicated situation, I still have 4 papers left to hand in for a course from last semester, and I thought for sure that I'd just have to re-take the course this semester. However, my professor and my department have been lovely and understanding, and given me an extension until the end of January. Huzzah!

My video on Rena won a JVC Handycam on a online website which gives out prizes for top DIY videos. I also just made a new one today, which you can check out here. Remember to watch in high quality. Makes a big difference.

I was on place called "Forts" here - series of old fortifications inside small mountain, there were physics experiments and invention presentations, guitar effects, simulation of nuclear reactor(hydro), hologram, spherical screen for showing planets etc. totally awesome!

Wow that's awesome for Kurt Warner. I always felt the Rams discarded him too easily after he brought them so much success.

For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?
