Thread: What made you smile today?

  1. #461
Yea, it did. I was gonna play with my friends, then I saw that my Friend Code list was wiped out. My friends were telling me "where are you?" and I replied "oh, yea... I reformatted my Wii." They laughed at me and I smiled a bit.

Currently playing: All of your games, probably.

First weekend fully-moved into my new apt and I'm loving it. I feel like so many burdens have been lifted by some of the zen changes I've made with my life, also somewhat made possible by moving. Kinda hard to believe that next weekend is going to be even better!

Don't overhype it, or you'll ruin it. It's Murphy's Law.

For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?

This morning I left for work to add an extra 10 mile loop to my commute. This morning was incredibly beautiful and despite this being my fifth straight day riding I felt very strong today. My average speed was over 20 and I got to take a 30mi route to work.

\I rode 250mi in the last 5 days. I'm so happy.

Remember all those tests I've done months ago?
I finally got the results back this week.

    Math I: 91/100
    Math II: 92/100
{equivalent of GMAT} - 750/800 - which is actually alot better than it seems, it's more close to 99.5% of total population.

    I'm frickin' awesome.

sig made by Itachi-y2k5, thanks, dude!
Currently Watching: probably a show directed at 9 years old girls, lets be honest.

You know the important distinction between Batman and me? Batman is fictional. In real life, there isn't always an alternative.

    Congratufuckinglations! man good work.
When man invented the bicycle he reached the peak of his attainments. Here was a machine of precision and balance for the convenience of man. And (unlike subsequent inventions for man's convenience) the more he used it, the fitter his body became. Here, for once, was a product of man's brain that was entirely beneficial to those who used it, and of no harm or irritation to others. Progress should have stopped when man invented the bicycle. ~Elizabeth West, Hovel in theHills

This week I've had a 2 tests math one and polish one, they were just to prepare us for the real deal next year, I'll have to write Physics(advanced), Polish(basic), Maths(advanced), and English(Advanced), Although the tests I've written were basic level they were very easy, and passing percentage is 30%(just like on real deal). When i write them next year marks from those test will be used to determine if i get to the university i want. I'm thinking on Gdansk's Technical University on IT course. I was thinking about Polish-Japanese High IT school - but it'll be too hard for me(it is one of best in Europe).
And that they were easy made me smile - if i have such tests next year I'll pass without any doubt.

I am just floating on air.

Went to a party last night, mostly to say goodbye to a bunch of people from my art club who I'll never see again. Halfway through the night, instead of giving a cliche goodbye speech, I made everyone get in a circle and say nice things about everyone else. It was a great bonding experience, and everyone talked openly and sincerely. Apparently I myself spoke quite eloquently, despite my drunkenness, and the whole thing has given me a high that's been able to battle a hangover.

I also confirmed for myself that, despite what I feel when I'm lonely and being pathetic, I have made a few very good friends here. Graduation sucks.

<@Terra> he told me this, "man actually meeting terra is so fucking big", and he started crying. Then he bought me hot dogs

Okay, so there was this perverted guy in my Physics class and he's a pretty funny and outgoing guy.

So there we were in Physics class learning about atoms, lights and whatnot when he puts up his hand and sets up his question:

"Teacher, this is regarding our last unit about light and vision. You know how clothing can absorb most of the lights and the color of a shirt is typically the color that is reflected back into our eyes, right? ..."

    He continues:

"Well, what is the science of light involved in when you can see through a white t-shirt when it gets wet? Is there refraction of light involved in any way?"

After such words were spoken, the entire class succumbed into a roar of laughter. They were laughing at this guy who just asked a suggestively sexual question to the teacher that has somehow infused science and humor together in a perfectly legitimate question for physics.

I was laughing pretty hard myself. But then...

I realized I WAS that guy who asked the question.

I also did not realize my teacher was wearing a white shirt herself.

    God damn it!

Yeah. It might be better to try to get your dissociative identity disorder fixed.

Like Xan said, it was a pretty funny story before that line.

    Landline internet is back up!

    Meaning:

-I can torrent and irc again!!.....
-I can play games with ping<200 make that <100 , and latency <1600ms....

I'll see how stability measure up. It seems there's no option back down onto G.dmt (ADSL1) for improved stability though....we'll see.

I went to school at 7:45AM, and on the information table there was note "Class 2F(my class) 3rd and 4th lesson are called off, students must go on 5th one" the funny part is now:
-1st and 2nd lesson should happen but thanks to this notice we didn't had them and when i went on the 5th lesson 5th was called off too, and 6th was a open one too... only 7th one German was left - but guess how many people came(including me)? zero. great day.
