There has probably already been a thread like this, but this will be an update. Who do you think is the most desirable anime female, and if you feel like it, say why.
I vote for Real Mayer from Ergo Proxy. Sexy, tough, great outfit, but vulnerable. The cat ears hairstyle doesn't appeal to me, but I would love to meet a real life version of Real, or a good cosplay version.

Discussion only, give proper reasons for your choice (no one name answers), and only post a pic (fully clothed) of the character to show other members who you're talking about.
Caska, perfect complexion and can hold her own in a fight. Short hair better than long hair though.
I vote Real Mayer too. She's the reason I started watching Ergo Proxy, and it turned out to be a pretty decent series.
Honorable mentions go to Kallen (Code Geass) and Misaki (Darker Than Black). I like the tough girls who can put up a good fight.
Hmm I'd say May from Hand Maid May, Sweet Beautiful a bit of a clutz thoughtful & always trying her best.
This is one of those things that changes over time, and your opinion can only evolve.
I'll do "runners up" first (aka flavor of the past seasons):
- Ichihara Yuuko (xxxHolic): I have to admit, she was very close to taking the title. There's the fun and twisted side of her personality, but there's also the all-business, oozing sexiness side to her. She's got everything (except realistic proportions), brains, seemingly ageless wisdom, nice body, and power. The voice that switches between mocking and purring. Incredibly mysterious is just icing on the cake.
- C.C. (Code Geass) : Pretty much all the same reasons as Yuuko, word for word.

But who it really comes down to in the end takes us back much closer to reality.
- Kokoro Tokunaga (Ai Baby): Kokoro is a bit cold, has the vulnerable side. She's a tsundere character that's not exaggerated in any way and utterly believable. She's quiet and reserved most of the time, but in no way afraid of telling anyone off when her motives and feelings are questioned. Caring too, despite having her own weaknesses. She feels...real, and she's also unique enough to stand out. It's hard to convey unless you've seen the series or read the manga.

Kisaragi Quon of RahXephon. Pink hair, musical virtuoso, and she escapes needing a real personality by pulling off the soft-spoken, philosophical, and "innocent" thing like no other character in anime, sexily xD.
Kudou Himiko (Lady Poison) of Getbackers. There was this one scene where she was being seductive in order to escape captivity along with another character in there. If I were one the guards, that'd have been the end of me, even without her poisons.
I'm torn between these two. If I'm able to find pics of particular animated sexiness of these two, I'll post them in that other thread that was mentioned. If someone else finds them, don't mind me, go for it and post xD.

I know I'm not alone here in saying I really like Makoto Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell. Everything from her voice to her attitude. She can kick ass and not let you know about it until after it happens.
But my favorite anime girl is probably Yukino Miyazawa from His and Her Circumstances. There's probably more character development on her part during the 1st episode of the series than 90% of anime characters out there because of her crazy monologues. Well developed, intelligent, and slightly insane yet ultimately likable. She's another one of those characters that feels "real".

Another honorable mention to my list: Arc from Tsukihime
She's the kind of character that only appears in fantasies even though she looks pretty plain from the outside. She's a vampire princess in a fantasy story who looks completely normal but has a lot of background. Mysterious characters are good.
Ciel was another intriguing character from Tsukihime but there was too little info on her during her brief appearance in the series. I'll start playing the game in the next little while and hopefully it reveals more about her.
Ohh, I forgot about Yukino Miyazawa! I wouldn't call her desirable though, but I would love to meet her.

Not exactly. You could just want to be around them or date them or get to know them better in normal day to day situations.
@Sapphire: I think you'd get sick of their wackiness/unpredictably/aggressiveness/chaotic natures pretty quickly, unless you're just like them.
I always liked Ino from Naruto. I'm a typical Asian: blonde hair and blue eyes is unrealistically attractive to me. And I don't think they developed her character enough for you to say definitely if she's a bitch or a sweet girl.

Another good one: Blue from Wolf's Rain (in human form, that is)
It helps that she symbolizes love in the series. At first she wasn't really a character at all because she doesn't talk or appear in human form until near the end of the series. She does play a crucial role later on though, and turned out to be a very likable (and maybe "desirable") character.

What is desireable about her? Well i like her character, her cuteness and the most important part, her fluffy tail...
