If she's not trying to pawn off a fake to ingratiate herself, maybe Medusa wants BREW to be in Shibusen, right next to all of the other Eibon Tools. If it is more convenient for them all to be in one place, perhaps she believes she will have greater access to it once she is already inside the walls of the building. She may have even laid a trap on it or around it so that if it gets near something, some contingency she set activates.

By the way, is she still possessing that little girl's body, or is this her own re-formed one?

Hey Kraco, Ryu do you guys want to start our own manga?

We obviously don't need these guys to make them for us, our ideas are much better

I was thinking something along the lines of that too. For some reason, she's always wanted to know of the location of the other Eibon Tools. BREW may be to the most powerful tool around, but quite possibly it's in conjunction with the other tools where it's true power is revealed.

Lately, Shinigami's been portrayed as a bit of a shady character, or just one who's not a simple black and white character (no pun intended). He'll definitely hear Medusa out if she's can get him something he wants.

    If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~

On the subject of BREW being introduced to Shibusen's hand, Stein is also shown to be talking to Medusa. I wonder what he has to say to her, since he thought he killed her. I guess the nightmare will haunt Stein to a greater effect.

Soul eater is almost over. And I'm starting to think of ditching AHExcalibur, quick question though, what fansub to watch now?

Its good that Crona confessed it already.

Well, I see SEF or Anonymous as good choices for continuation, so you should try them.

Tsubaki-Subs is also an option. I haven't seen anon around since episode 36 and after hearing bad things about Hatsuyuki and being underwhelmed by SEF I decided to go with them. Their translation of 39 made a lot more sense then what I remembered from SEF's version.

On the down side though Tsubaki put out v2's for both 37 and 38 so their QC may not be so great, but I'm not convinced SEF even does QC so maybe that's not so bad.

As to the episode, the beginning and ending held big surprises but when compared to them I found the middle part with Chrona rather dull. I wonder what they'll do with it now though and how Medusa's presence will factor into that.

So the goods subs for this anime right now is tsubaki and SEF right? good thing im getting SEF right now.

Just saw eps39 and man I hope Crona is still a part of shibusen. I hope Stein would get better too. its only a couple of episodes left i wish they would tackle things more now. I dont want this anime to be another naruto/bleach series long.

I'll think that she demands for Crona to stay there in addition to other conditions of "alliance".
She will try to keep him there - she might planted a snake on him/her(i don't trust translators on this, never heard anyone call him girl in Japanese). It would be a great idea to keep someone in there as a sleeper cell, after this "alliance"(temporary - i won't believe for a full-time alliance) breaks.

What a fine sleeper Crona would make if Medusa now requested she stays there. I don't think that would quite fulfil the definition of a sleeper. Shinigami already know now that Stein and Crona are compromised to a degree (though only a fool would have thought no risk ever lay in Crona).

Well finally got caught up on this show, should have picked it up sooner. Really great show and awesome action.

Anyway i can't see Shinigami creating an "alliance" with Medusa. I mean assuming that is the real BREW what purpose would that serve for them? They'd be much better off just killing her while she's in front of them than allowing her to continue to scheme and plot against them in some pseudo-alliance. They already know now she's been trying to drive Stien insane and use Crona to gather info on the demon tools.

Of course they won't do all of that because this is anime and things never happen the most logical way. Still though at best, even with the suspension of disbelief required for this kind of show, i can only see a "ceasefire" being reasonable. My guess is that it is likely the real BREW, but surely she's put some kind of spell on it. Either one of her snakes so she can track it and find Shinigami's vault, or something that will allow her to seize control of whatever it is Shinigami's using it to build.

Honestly I didn't expect Kishin to go over to Arachne's side so easily.

Next time pay attention to the thread you're posting in. Posting content of a recent episode in an old episode discussion is considered spoiler

Hey does anyone have any theories on what's going to happen to Maka?

From the opening, it looks bad

The black blood supposedly disappears in her. If we take that to mean that the black blood turns to normal blood inside her, just like it did for the Kishin, it means she's susceptible to corruption just like it IMO.

Maka doesn't seem to be the type to fall for the kishin's madness, but the again there's the black blood factor that may prove to be quite the wild card if she's forced to deal with a more powerful opponent.

I hope she doesn't die or anything; that opening is giving me a bad feeling.

Yeah, either she's a Kishin-to-be, or the black blood disappearing means she's the ultimate anti-evil weapon. After all, they said she can summon the Demon Hunt, which was previously unique to her mother. Add that to how weapons are supposed to be amplifiers for the technician's wavelength, it could well be her natural anti-demon wavelength that is destroying the blood.

Yea, that's why the Imp was so surprised when Maka's black blood disappeared and he commented on her being a Demonslayer(?) wavelength.

Actually I think he said it was the "Demon Lord's wavelength"

Maybe that means that her power can be used for both good and evil?

I liked how there was a minor battle between Shinigami/Spirit and Medusa over the pace of the conversation. They were just messing her, and it threw her off enough to render her unable to try and add the weight to her proposition that she wanted to. It still didn't change anything though, Medusa had the upper hand.

Then again, she was genuinely worried (for the first time we've seen) while she sat in the cell waiting for their reply. This was a huge gamble by the looks of it, and it's turned out entirely in her favor. Now we just have to see what she's after.

This episode also answered my question of whether Medusa was still possessing that little girl's body. She is using it as a hostage, and who knows when she will give it back (probably never).

Black*Star exhibited a lot of confidence though, maybe he's finally back to his old self.

Maka was really enraged at the beginning of this episode, and I really liked her seiyuu's performance at it.

    I miss Blair
