Finally got around to catching up.
Nice episode, explains why Black Star's resolve to surpass God is crumbling and other nickpits. Lets see how next episode fares.

I sort of don't get why losing ups regains his self confidence. Black Star dueled Kid again to see how he's doing these days, and kind of lost. His "white star" mode, looked more like a surge of power lust than a burst of self confidence, yet the hospital scene hints he's back to normal. It just doesn't quite add up.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
Well loosing to Kid made him realize he just has to train more i guessOriginally Posted by Buffalobiian
The madness may be affecting him too, we may see BlackStar being seduced to the dark side in the next episodes.
Omg i just realized, there are only 13 more episodes to go until this anime ends
Or there can be another season, btw Archie - why you changed your pikachu to archer?, is kinda weird now.

are there any alternatives so far other than SEF subs?
Anonymous, Hyatsuyuki, All Hail Excalibur, and some other subs.Originally Posted by Hiwatari

All Hail Excalibur being the rumbel subs undercover btw.
Watching two different subs gave me two different answers.
Is this new guy the head of the Oceania Technology Team, or a consultant. Not terribly a lot of difference, but it helps to know just how important he is. I'm leaning on him being a Death Scythe too.

You just want there to be a Death Scythe from AustraliaOriginally Posted by Buffalobiian
I don't think so, weren't all the remaining DSs either on missions or in Europe?
I don't remember anymore. Actually, I don't know how I'll react if Joe turns into a boomerang.Originally Posted by The Archangel

This was a beautiful, straight-forward episode until those last moments. It made sense what was happening to Black Star, and also in retrospect how he had been acting until now, though he was cracking in a way that didn't really look like cracking on the outside. But it's pretty easy to say his attitude, his driving force, is kind of tense and brittle. Someone like Death the Kid with a nonsense weakness but otherwise extemely balanced and capable is far easier to figure out.Originally Posted by Buffalobiian
Black Star's character was very flawed until now (or rather until many episodes ago already), because he had apparently never lost in a way he would have considered a defeat and such a thing didn't even fit into his core identity. After his clear losses lately he had refused to consider the ramifications. I think the very end of this episode might have marked the moment when he really realised he's a man who will surpass god and not a man who has surpassed god. But who knows. He's a simpleton and might be thinking whatever or nothing at all.
Other than that, I really like Tsubaki and Black Star's relationship. Instead of the cliche worrying attitude Tsubaki looks like she would let Black Star push forward even if it killed him. I'm not sure how much of Tsubaki's own ambition in mixed in her endlessly understanding personality, but nevertheless I find it extremely refreshing and intriguing. In fact that's precisely what interests me: Does Tsubaki want so badly to learn something about herself (or develop) that even if it killed Black Star she wouldn't stop, or does she simply believe in Black Star that much?
Soul Eater is now the only show In Fuego, as it should be
Bump to try out our new format. New episode discussion threads will be created in General Anime. Once that happens, old episode discussion threads will be moved to the En Fuego section. Feel free to keep using the En Fuego section for other types of discussions.
So the En Guego section now works as an archive for the old episodes of the selected animes?
As long as they are an En Fuego series and for other discussions that fall outside the current episode discussion. For example, threads about OST, VS. threads, releases threads, theory threads, discussion of super powers... all of those will go in there.Originally Posted by The Archangel
Anyways, that's off-topic. Ask in the appropiate thread.
Stein said that Black Star is the biggest attacker in the three man team. But Kid fucked him pretty good even with his Soulwave back would have he won this battle ? I don't think so.
Things developed nicely in 38. Could BJ be Soul Eater's Q ( Q from James Bond when it still was awesome for it's time) ?
To be continued I guess.
Yeah, Stein did say that. I'm not too concerned about Kid beating him though, since he was sort of losing it in that fight. I just thought it was weird how right after Stein says that and they go off to fight Mosquitoe, Black*Star's attacks are by far the most stressful on his body, but was no more obviously powerful than Kid's cannon or Maka's Demon Hunt(er).

What he meant to say was that Black Star's raw force was the biggest in the team, but Kid is still the strongest in the group i believe since he has incredible speed, power and his shinigami shenanigans .Originally Posted by Inazuma
