Agreed that Itachi becoming a good guy would kinda ruin his character. I prefer Itachi to be the eyeball poaching kinda villian.

So it seems, to me at least, that there is no question now that Tobi/Madara is at least Obito's body, though I don't believe its his being.
It's likely that Madara is not after just Sasuke's eyes, but his body. Seems like a recurring theme for Sasuke that everyone wants his body; Sakura, Orochimaru, and now Madara. Could be that Oro learned of the Body Snatcher jutsu from Madara.

Anyway, I'm actually looking very forward to next week's chapter. That hasn't happened in a while.
I don't believe that Itachi is actually dead. That was like the lamest way to go, no warning. The guy just literally dropped dead. Madara better have a good explaination for this.
It would be hilarious if Madara turned out to be Itachi in reality. That way the body clone theory could come true too.

The best part is that if Madara actually is a body jumper, he is possibly in Itachi's body now (why take his dead corpse with him?)
It sounds too much like Pein's powers. Although I believe that Madara is not in his original body, (Lost after the battle with the first?), forcing him to gain another pair of Sharingan to complete the EMS. Maybe that's what Itachi meant when he said he wanted to overtake Madara in the form he is in right now.
Doubt it....when would Oro have been in contact with Madara? Tobi wasn't even around until after Sasori died.

Tobi wasn't, but that doesnt mean he still wasn't around leading things from the top as Madara.
I'm just glad that we're about to get some kind of explanation for how this fight turned out. I'm still giving the last few (14 was it?) chapters the evil eye.
With a character like Madara, they can litterally pull anything. He may very well have been with akatsuki from the beginning, and Tobi is simply a new disguise that no one's familliar with. He might've had other disguises in the past that he may have used to come into contact with people. But I do doubt that Orochimaru would've had contact with him, knowingly, as I can't why Orochimaru would've had reason to know of Madara's existence, if most of the other Akatsuki didn't.
Well, Madara has been around since the founding of Konoha, so Kishi could very easily throw in a random flashback of Oro encountering Madara at any point.
Madara made Itachi his protege, convinced him to betray Konoha, and then brought him into Akatsuki. Who's to say he didn't do the same with Oro years earlier?
But, I never said Oro learned the jutsu from Madara, only that he may have learned of the jutsu from Madara. It could simply be that Oro was in the woods and witnessed Madara take Obito's body and then became determined to learn how he did it.
Really, there's a vast number of possibilities that would all be rational.
