Thread: Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2

  1. #1841
Well, I think he is alive based on the way the anime left it. I don't know if it was different in the manga.

But, because they purposely hid the the face of the person driving the carriage and then when CC said "isn't that right, Lelouch?" she kind of looked in the direction of the driver. So that leads me to believe that it was him and she was speaking directly to him, not just thinking out loud.

That isn't to say he wasn't really stabbed by Suzaku, but that he was immortal at that point having killed Charles in the other realm and gaining his immortality.

The manga actually came after the anime, so the anime is the only material that contains the ending, if I'm not mistaken.

I actually agree with you, except for the last part. I think he gained immortality from C.C. instead of Charles. You don't need to kill the previous geass master to obtain immortality after all. Also this way, C.C. gets her wish of dying with a smile, having spent her remaining days (should be quite long, judging from her looks) with Lelouch.

With this many CC fans here, I feel worse not posting this than digging this thread from the grave.

One of those pics that make you call in <3 all over again.

Saw this before, but didn't save it. A C.C. smiling like that is not C.C. Just kinda feels OOC.

Its your all time favorite CC.

The other one is Mao... not the same Mao of the series though... its an irregular Geass user whose Geass is 'Refrain'. It has the same effects as the refrain drug of the original series.

Bandai's mobile phone website m-pub.channel.or.jp is hosting a graphic that reads as follows:

New Code Geass Project Launch Green-Lit!

Wait for more info in 2010!!

The image adds that this project represents a "rebirth" and that Geass will take a new step starting today. The message is signed with the name, "ZERO."

In the January 2009 issue of Gakken's Animedia magazine, the Sunrise anime studio indicated the possibility of more plans for its Code Geass science-fiction franchise. Sunrise created and animated the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion television anime series and its R2 sequel. Sunrise did not indicate the format that any hypothetical future plans might take. The Adult Swim television programming block ran Bandai Entertainment's adaptation of the R2 sequel in North America.

Well if it's only called "Zero", it could well be following Suzaku in pursuit of world order after R2.

Code Geass will never be the same without Lelouch and C.C. . (and hence I think they'll appear in there somehow). Rebirth all but means Resurrection.

Honestly with only Suzaku, Kallen, and some minor characters I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for anything amazing. C.C. is still around but what is she without Lelouch? If it's just Suzaku and Kallen running around it won't feel anything more than dvd extras would.

The show was all about Lelouch - all about Lelouch and C.C. for C.C. fans like me.

But maybe I'm just being far too pessimistic after a poorly slept night...

God i do hope you're all horribly wrong about this

R2 had one of the best ending i've ever seen, i would hate for anything that would mess that up. I'm hoping this will just be a spinoff adaptation, maybe regarding "Nightmare of Nunnaly" since it seems to be the most successful of them

^i agree. one of the best endings out there. A sequel would ruin that, imo.

maybe by "rebirth" it means it's getting one of those series summery movies that so many shows get these days :\

the ttgl movies are just retellings of the series, right? i could see that as being all that this is.

I wouldn't mind (translated as would absolutely love) more C.C., but only if Lelouch is present. I personally believe he is still alive and well, together with the pizza loving witch, so I am optimistic even if this is indeed a sequel.

I dont know how to react to this:

    possibility of more C.C(EPIC win)
    possibility of more Suzaku(lose)
    possibility of more Kallen(win)
    possibilty of more Lelouch(win)
low chance of topping last season ending(lose)

Im kinda mixed on this one. I'll wait for more news of the series if it is happening at all.

And hence my (hence - ) remark. I believe Sunrise knows this (and god hope they do), and somehow it'll have Lelouch.

Seriously, what is the meaning of calling a show Code Geass if the Code and Geass bearers aren't in it? I am 100% confident in their (re)appearance.

I never thought too highly of the ending, but I still liked it. After all this time since R2 ended, my desire to see more C.C. surpasses the desire to leave the ending as it is.

maybe by "rebirth" it means it's getting one of those series summery movies that so many shows get these days :\
Now really, if they did that, I will seriously consider express-mailing Sunrise a box of turd and make sure they sign upon delivery.

I place my bet on a Spinoff. Though I do not want to see either Suzaku of the Counterattack nor Nightmare of Nunnally nor Code Geass Manga (this one is the same as the anime but doesn't have knightmares)

Suzaku of the countterattack for one, focus on Suzaku, but had enough differences... as Lelouch abandoning the Black Knights leaving Kallen as 'Zero'

Nightmare of Nunnally has what I wished happened on the Code Geass anime... more Geass users... but its a complete utter mess at halfpoint. Not enough Lelouch, Kallen or CC either.

The Code Geass manga without knightmares is boring,

I actually want to see the Code Geass Stories of the Shogunate... an alternate story that takes place in old japan. The Black Knights are the Shinsengumi and the Geass power allows them to summon Knightmares out of nowhere. Maybe not...

An R3 would need to have Lelouch living at the end... and I don't want that.

Just give me an alternate universe with the same characters in another role.

    EDIT:
Select all the post to see explanation of manga. Hidden because Archie cares about 4 year old mangas that will never get animated and have been published in the states for over 2 years now legally.
