Well, it seems that the power curves in Kubo's plot are fairly progressive and regular the older they are, the more powerfull they prove themselves to be. ( Ichigo excluded because he is the main char)
Gin, Blind Guy and Aizen are not (to me) uber since they lack experience compared to Yama-jii(Must point out that the Greezer is freakin uber since Ukitake &Shunsui were hardly relaxed when they had to face him.), Kenpachi, Ukitake, Kryouraku, Urahara.
I'm just saying that unless those three main evil Captains got some serious powerboost, or are fighting them 2 on 1 with the help of Evil Top5 Underdogs. They got no chance of winning.

If someone actually take down Genryussai it'll be utter bullshit since the old can just go Shikai and have everyone cooked in ten seconds. Don't even talk about having the old man going bankai because even if against Aizen or Top 1 Espada, it'll be like nuking a fly.

Note : Here again, it's just my personnal opinion, it's my point of view. I don't read Kubo's mind and I won't blame people with different vision of the thing. But excuse me when I say that Aizen being a betraying smartass son of a bitch with glasses doesn't make him the Strongest.

Isshin was not the previous Kenpachi. The previous Kenpachi was killed by Zaraki, thus allowing him to became the Captain of the 11th squad.

Don't forget Aizen's plan since who knows when was to break through the barrier of Shinigami and Hollow, allowing greater powers than imaginable. If he has managed to use the Hogyoku on himself, Gin, and Tousen, they may be far more powerful than the other captains. Not to mention all of those Arrancar he had with him who we haven't seen before.

My money is on Uruhara also having used the Hogyoku on himself too.

Its interesting to note that when Ichigo fights Grimmjow seriously, he is at Bankai and hollow mode. When Shinji fought Grimmjpw breifly, he was in hollow mode but was not even at Shikai. Similarly, when Uruhara had his brief tussles with the Arrancar he was only at Shikai, and even Youroichi was not powered up. I'm thinking there is still a good deal more power waiting to be unleased from the SS side then what has been seen so far.

You know I also think Urahara has the Hogyoku, but only for back up and emergencies. I don't see him creating something for the consumption/use of power. I think Grimmjow has become a token loner/loser of the Espada. Aizen has had to keep him in check almost twice already. Not a good sign considering he's not even a higher up (number 6 Espada). He needs to get schooled by a captain, and fast. I'm getting tired of him. Maybe Soifon will just stab him twice and get it over with using her Bankai.

I can't wait to see the top 3 Espada in action. Speaking of which. You guys should comment on my Top 3 Espada thread. Hopefully the old man (Barragan) is the number one. Could be Stark though. Who knows.

Maybe that's why he coudn't train Ichigo himself becuse his montreous power he achieved by using it on himself.

And i can't help shake the feeling that if you'd be in the research institute you'd have some fucked up things up your sleave (bankai included), or have some crazy stuff just to be let in. As in research institute is for a special sort of people with a bit of a different mind set.

Kisuke founded the research institute and honestly he doesn't seem like the type that would experiment on himself or his zanpaktou. He seems to focus more on the development and usage of accessories so to speak.

Yes, he experimented developing those accessories and he tested them himself. I was mainly referring to the body and zanpaktou alterations that Mayuri has made. I don't see Kisuke doing anything to his actual body or sword.

Wait so sticking his sword into the tenshintai and forcing the spirit of his sword to materialize so he could do battle with it and forcibly acquire bankai doesn't count as messing with his body or sword, how does that work? I mean not only did he do that but this is the same guy who created artificial souls and soul candy to force souls out of peoples bodies , gigais that drain spiritual power, the hogyoku and the same guy who developed a techinque to bury said hogyoku in the soul of Rukia. I understand what you're saying and I doubt Kisuke has made any alterations to his sword or body to the extent that Mayuri did but that doesn't mean he hasn't done anything because evidence suggests otherwise.

We'll problaby see those kind of fact sooner or later. They have to (personal opinion) more screentime with Kisuke. He's atleast one character that you just want more indept backrond information or some sort.
