Yes for the first part of the special its not there then its as if for the last 1/4 of the special someone just decides to put it on him, I don't get it. I also don't know why they decided the change the color of the sword, as I've said before the anime seems to randomly change the color of things but the sword in the manga just looks so much better. How they ruined this is akin to how they ruined Kakashi's MS scene.
Seriously it seems the last thing the anime got right was the Gaara vs Deidara fight. There is one other major change that they made that no one seems to have noticed but I'll talk about that some other time.

Well it doesnt really matter since it doesnt affect much of the final product but it clearly shows a lack of interest by the guys who make naruto. Not that the latest episodes arent all a proof of that already ofcourse.
The only thing I liked about this episode was the chidori sword. Contrary to what Abdula said, I personally thought it looked cooler than it did in the manga.
Everything else was garbage. I fast forwarded through most of it.
What do you mean it looked cooler. Was it because it was animated or are you talking about the color. If they had used the sword Sasuke used in the manga you don't think it would have been better than the generic one they gave him.

i think both are beautiful... the anime version looks more realistic though. i like that. simple yet amazing.
and to be honest, its not like its important is it? i can understand the fuz about the seal since its simply stupid but well i think the sword is black in the manga because of it lacks colours and sometimes its quite difficult to spot a white sword in the middle of the fight (as a reader)

No not really all the swords Oro uses show up just fine and its not about being realistic the sword isn't supposed to be a normal sword which is pretty much why I liked how it was in the manga. If Ichigo's bankai was changed and made to look like a normal zanpakuto it would have been a big deal.

Btw, did u guys see how the first's necklace fell off from naruto's neck? Think that's gonna have any effect on the following story?
Pshhh... he's going to get back up, have several flashbacks about how he received the necklace, and how Jiraiya telling him about how it summons death to the wearer, and then scream SASUKE and make shadow clones and try charging with a rasengan. After that fails, he'll make a mass of shadow clones and try to beat Sasuke with numbers. After that fails, he'll make a speech about how he can't save his friend. After that sucks, the episode will end.
PS, and in between the Kage Bunshins, insert random flashbacks of how Sasuke kicked his ass and clones before in the valley.
