I think I'll wait for the voice file rips. Hopefully it won't take long. Lately I have been playing several VNs, and all voiced, so it would probably feel too strange to play this mute.

The voices file is the same as the one for UBW, no need to rerip or redownload another one.

I already said in a previous post that with the UBW patch, it extracted the voices files for all 3 routes, just that they weren't implanted yet in the script, they are now.

*start reading HF*

Yeah, I just found out as well, awesome.

>*EDIT: We got reports that the beta flowchart is still in the patch. We'll take it out and release a fixed version ASAP. It's not really a hinderance to the game unless you're really bothered by it, so go ahead and play with the current patch if you're fine with it
It's not really that annoying.. just don't double click on anything - it'll send you to the scene..

Ah, yes. I actually remembered, shortly after making my post, that it had been said, but by then you had already made your post. Forgive my poor spongiform brain!

Anyway, patch is installed and I feel compelled to have a look...

Before installing the patch, I had access to HF, now that the patch is here, I couldn't even access it.
I had to load/skip the epilogues of UBW for HF to become available again... Was I the only one with that problem?

And now there's also a small patch file to fix the issue in the voiced version of the game. I know those developer menus disturbed me. There are some very dark screens in this game, and having those things there like bright flags was distracting.

Enjoying it so far. I kept waiting for a new intro video though, thought there would be one. Too bad.

Keeping this spoiler-free:

I'm on Day 6, and Heaven's Feel is definitely far stranger than the previous arcs. A lot more strange visions and flickers of art that only appear for a second or two changes the atmosphere of the storytelling completely. It's downright creepy, and I know it is only going to get worse.

The cute parts where Sakura bumps into all kinds of doors and walls doesn't seem to have much of a comedic effect either. It only increases the level of dread I feel for some reason.

Yeah. HF seems to be lacking much of the smooth progress of the other two routes, and if UBW was exceptionally cruel in a straightforward manner, HF is indeed downright creepy. I'm nearing the end of it, but I did find it a bit hard to continue at some points, because it felt kind of incoherent and twisted every now and then. In Fate and UBW everything seemed to have its purpose and things flowed forward, but HF gives no such feeling for the most part, though many oddities are later explained.

Actually a lot more is explained during this route, and while it's nice to learn all the background of the story with this last part, it also lessens the magic a little. And despite having played most of the route already, I still can't feel much for Sakura. One other thing I don't like is the deus ex machina quality of the enemy, rendering the fights beyond boring.

There's too much talk about making food. Maybe I just don't like too much slice of life stuff, but it feels like there's a lot of talk about food. Other than that I like it so far. I haven't finished it yet, I've taken a few breaks inbetween, especially during food scenes.

Finished it week ago - HF was pretty good - but nothing can beat UBW.
Yea i noticed that too Xrlderek - there were a lot of food making scenes, and detailed - but they were fun for me.

I just downloaded the game

Any tips for a begginer? It's my first time playing a game of this genre, so i'm not sure how i like it yet. For now it feels like i'm reading an interesting book, so not bad.

Nothing much except keep away from spoilers until you're finished, and don't use a flowchart, much better without. It gets better and better, have fun! I envy you because you get to play all three routes with no wait in between.

[Mostly Generalities. Vague language so it should be spoiler free. Warning anyway]

I'll probably be harshly rebuked for this, but so far, even only at day 8-9, HF has been much more enjoyable to me than UBW. I know I'm not even up to the good bits.

It is a far more character driven arc, as opposed to conflict driven like the Fate and UBW arcs were. There are a lot less fights, but there is a lot more character development from the spoken lines and long explanations.

Rin's fondness of Shirou is more apparent earlier on and she doesn't hide it nearly as well. A lot of Saber's character development from the Fate arc appears much earlier in HF. Of course, the largest focus is on Shirou's slowly (God, he is thickheaded at parts) growing awareness of Sakura's maturity, something he very easily brushed aside in Fate and UBW.

UBW is just one fight after another, much the same way Fate was. Entertaining to be sure. HF on the other hand, puts the focus on dialogue and character development. There's a lot more subtlety to look into, think about, and reassess when you have more information. HF has a ton of, "that makes sense NOW," moments. When you go back because you inevitably failed to make the right choices (think at how much more complicated HF's flowchart and requirements are) you see all the hints that you missed the first times through.

...or maybe it is because I always liked Sakura more than Rin. (Saber is at the bottom, she's kind of boring.)

Seriously... Wut? The only reason I can think of to make this possible is a very strong preference for dark characters who are full of angst (which is not a bad thing, of course)

My personal ranking for females in FSN would be:
Saber
Rin
Ilya
Rider
Everyone else
...
...
...
Sakura... maybe.

I don't know...at least a little part of it may come from how sick I was of the excessive amount of tsundere characters in anime at the point when the F/SN anime was airing. Maybe it is as superficial as the style/color of her hair and that her body is more mature than the other non-Servant girls. I've certainly always found her the most attractive. As for the storyline, [ when it is done as well as Sakura's is, I found it hard to resist her near-angelic personality first resisting what she was becoming, and as she is gradually overcome. ] That is a huge part of the subtle development I enjoy out of the HF arc.

...or it could be as superficial as Rider cosplay, the best of both worlds.

If I had to rank them:

Sakura
Rider
Caster
Ilya
Rin
Fuji-nee
Sella and Leysritt
Saber

EDIT: Light spoilers removed, highlight to view.

Well, i agree that in HF there was a lot of character development, but the plot were more straightforward than in UBW in my opinion, everything(
excluding black keys in Kotomine's hand,I have thought that they were exclusive to Ciel, and also Kotomine's appearance near end
) was predictable for me.

My ranking:
Rin
Caster
Ilya
Saber
Rider
Sakura
