This is seriously....some interesting conversion you guys got kindled.

But alas, I must agree, the monstrous pubic hair is about the only interesting thing in that article. Edison Chen has and will always be the shitz though.

Yea, seriously. In most of the movies hes been in he gets so little screentime. He's only like the super cool guy over in the corner. Like Intial D for example.

I love how browsing forums, listening to music and messing with Photoshop is the only thing I do this period and the next. =)

Man, I'm Jamaican, we got a Indian|Malaysian|Italian hybrid, A few asians here and there, a black guy over in Korea, 'Canadians'.

GotWoot is one steaming pile of addicts hooked on the weird shyt Japanese churns out daily.

Initial D was the shyt, I pity anyone who hasn't seen it. I want the main character's '86 so bad.

Gruesome fascination is the only explanation. Chinese film making is basically various levels of Hard Boiled mixed with Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Somehow everyone in Chinese media has unlimited ammo and the ability to defy the basic laws of physics. Add a cheesy revenge/drug plot and some pretty actors/actresses, and you have a Chinese film.

@Lucifus: you forgot to list the Indians/Pakistanis, since you obviously left them out when mentioning various Asians.

For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?

You all seen Fatal Contact? If not, crunchy-roll that gravity defying film. Insane.
Its a perfect example of what Animeniax's talking about.

I've been sparring with a Cambodian friend o mine for almost 2 years and he can pull off some of the crazy crap these guys do. Sick stuff.

    Edit: Mer....well technically they're asians too......in a weird way.

Those were the good old days. I kinda miss them. All the new films try too hard to make use of CG and fail badly.

I can't agree more. These days I'm trying to look for those good ole SWAT/cop/drug lord movies. The people do it all, no CG effects or anything. Any old movies with Jet Li in them were gold, his hollywood ones aren't too bad, but no where near as good. Btw, are those pictures fake? Haven't gone through the link yet, and if "long hairs" are the only interesting points, it's not worth bypassing all the filters.

    Update:
Have you heard EC made public (and not pubic) excuses?
That he quits being an actor?

Last but not least, it seems he has a $US 500,000 dollar contrat on his head.

Naw, I think its just because the Japanese produce some good crack.

So kids, the internet is dangerous, one little whif and we're addicts for life.

    LOL XD

    ohno. Drama time.

But maybe this is such a big scandal because it's Edison Chen and Gillian?

  17. #17
Any scandal involving Chinese people is a big scandal on that side of the world.

I'm glad I live on this side.

That sounds like a mediocre movie plotline.

Female actress' sex exploits exposed by hacker! Male actress fights the media to keep his job! Female actress' mob family wants revenge!

Too true. This could all be a gimmick to draw attention to a new movie. I'd probably go see it.

It's weird, there have been a few occasions where a celebrity is so obnoxious and unlikeable that I wanted something bad to happen to them so that they would fade from the media spotlight. I think Paris Hilton and Britney Spears are on that list. Edison Chen wasn't on the list, but to see it happen to someone that I didn't particularly care for is kind of satisfying and yet unsatisfying somehow.

It's strange that EC's antics will end his career, but Paris and Britney continue to attract so much attention for their trashy behavior. Goes to show how different the US is from Asia.

I doubt this will happen, though I agree Asian (or at least Japanese) media is more hardcore when it comes to things like this. We hear about all these Hello!Project scandals, "liek omg a member of h!p has a boyfriend?! Will they cancel her contract?!!"

And Avex's stocks or something went down when everyone discovered Ayumi Hamasaki is deaf in one ear... wasn't Beethoven deaf?
