Good episode. Fights got interesting finally.

It now seems that, rather than just having a new bow, Ishida has, like, 5 new bows.

Chad's powers are still boring, hoping this powerup changes the way he fights instead of just punching.

I only saw one.. Don't you mean arrows?

Other than that, I agree that the fights finally got interesting, Chad's one look promising.. And I think Renji will find his opponent next episode too.(It looks that way, at least)

I also think Chad's fights are boring. Even though he couldn't get a hold of his powers until now, there are better ways of fighting then running at your opponent.
Let's just hope he beats his opponent with power, instead of a lucky shot

Chad is the team's tank. Able to take on lots of damage (Like falling from Kuukaku's spirit cannonball thingy). But only able to do slow, linear, attacks.

Think as the whole Bleach thing as a traditionnal Rpg game.
You got Mainchar Nuker (Ichigo), The Tank(Chad), The Ranged(Ishida), a Healer(Orihime but Renji is making up for the gap), a MagicSpecialist(Rukia) and all the side chars.

But hey, if the fact that being in HM boost Chad's powers; we may get a "Pocket-Zaraki".

I really thought Chad would evolve something OTHER than his right arm this time. and Ishida was badass as always!

That's not a very apt comparison since they don't fight together ever, and it's always 1v1 fights.

In an rpg, you get the healer or the mage or whatnot fighting on their own and their hamburger.

Chad used to be one of my favourits. Now he's like a dude with a big arm.... I mean, how will he ever be even slightly compareible to the others in the groùp ?
