Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de: They Are My Noble Masters

Genres: Comedy, Romance, Slice of Life

Uesagi Ren and his sister Mihato run away from home because of domestic violence. When they at last reach the city they have a hard time finding work (and money). They eventually enter the service of the Kuonji family, making a pledge of absolute loyalty. Thus Ren`s days of being a butler to the demanding Kuonji heir begins...

Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de - 01 - [Ayako]

Basic mindless humor show with little to no ulterior motive besides making you laugh at recycled jokes that either make you laugh every time or yo've simply heard/seen to many times to react to. If you liked Goshyouu-sama no Ninomiya-kun or Muteki Kanban Musume or Hayate no Gotoku you might want to check this out.

The first ep seems to 'almost' parody quite a few shows but never quite makes it. The most obvious references are to Hayate no Gotoku but I noticed a few others hinted at as well (like Bamboo Blade, Rental Magica, and Ninomiya-kun). I doubt it'll be as funny as Minami-ke S2 but it should be good for a relaxing laugh or two every now and then.

Oh added bonus, Shirahama Kenichi's VA is the lead charachter.

I watched ten minutes of the first ep, and then dropped this series. It just didn't do it for me. And additionally, even though you call it a bonus:

... for me this wasn't a bonus. Actually I like this voice actor a lot, but only when he acts like with FMP's Sousuke Sagara or Nodame Cantabile's Shinichi Chiaki. During those roles he's undoubtly one of my favorite male voice actors. But when he screams cowardly like in Kenichi or this series, it just pisses me off.

Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de - 02 - [Ayako]

Kraco should have at least held judgment until this episode. I thought the first episode was fairly bland, but it was only an intro episode anyway. Well...this one is too, but it was certainly a lot more enjoyable.

I find KimiAru far more accessible than Hayate no Gotoku. The incredibly obscure references in Hayate alienate a lot of viewers in my opinion. They dumbed down the anime a bit from the manga for it, but eventually, it just drove me away. KimiAru, however, throws the referential humor away and goes for the mature humor, very evident in this episode. Last episode drew the line at a sister complex, and the Benisu/Penisu wordplay. This episode went a lot farther.

I also think the characters are weirder. Shinra comes off very masculine (easy role for Shizuka Itou), and the way she interacts with others has been pretty amusing. She's like some millionare-playboy who does what ever he wants to whomever he wants.

Miyu...it may be too soon to tell exactly how she's like. It still very nice to see Yuko Goto play a non uber-cutesy-Mikuru character. She's so much better in these roles. However, I couldn't help but think in the scene where her robot was robotically snoring (with a buzzing noise) that the buzzing noise was implying something else....

....which seems to be supported by the appearance of Yume's friends. Anastasia had me laughing as soon as it became clear what she was, and even in the background, it never relented. The second friend...was as unimpressionable as Yume herself. The third, voiced by Rie Tanaka no less, was again, strange enough to be very amusing.

As the people in the house and at Yume's school get weirder and weirder, I think the series will probably get more enjoyable. A harem is already forming (albeit loosely).

Ultimately, this episode also left it too soon to tell. One or two more episodes will settle this one for me. This episode was far and away better than the first.

Lol, it's already settled for me. So much adult humor crammed into a single show how canI not watch. The predatory shoujo-ai, incest shoujou-ai, loli shoujou-ai, brocon, siscon, Benisu, masochism, hyper confident character, hyper narcissistic character, shounen hero, AND it's got parodies. The show is exactly what I've been looking for in Hayate no Gotoku but not finding. Please let it continue to push the enevlope with the absurd innuendo and awkward situations.

Shinra licking the frosting off Miyu's face had me on the floor laughing loved it.

Unless this drops in quality big time, Im keeping with it. Hayate simply doesnt cut it anymore for me.

How convenient of them to have G Gundam parodies especially since the VA"s for the main character and the mercenary butler are the same ones as Domon and Master Asia from G Gundam.

This show is really awful, just one shameless pervert fanservice scene after another. No plot beyond what's needed to connect each scene.

    I love it.

It's nice to have a series that doesn't try to pretend to be anything but what it is.

Thumbs up. like Ryll said, it doesn't pretend.

It's good to know Initial D is still parodied.

Yeah, awful like a fox! A show like this doesn't need a plot, it just needs tons of silly situations that exacerbate the already overblown and cliché traits of the cast so we can laugh at them. I really hope the next ep takes place at school with the masochist girl and the Yukiji Katsura clone.

Oh man I cant stop laughing at this series. Now all this show needs to do is parody Gundam.

Speaking of Gundam, the head butler did a parody of the announcer from G-Gundam in ep 3.

Ren and the mercenary butler are like living G-Gundam Parodies themselves. The butler even Dark Fingerred Ren in his dream.
