Regarding the age... I guess things evolve.
Most of the 20ish of you won't stop watching anime and reading manga only because they enter 30ish zone
I was talking with a female interpreter yesterday, same age as I am, almost otaku-ish for anime, manga, comics, video games and so on. Very nice to be able to exchange common thoughts "Live" with someone on that subject.
I'm sure that as time passes, we'll get more "anime addict" "old" adults.
