    Signing in using https

Do correct me if I'm wrong, but has signing in over a secure line been the case sometime in the past? I just thought that would be a nice little feature to add, and probably not a too difficult one too.

Actually, as of like two days ago, if you don't mind a certificate mismatch and an untrusted certificate authority, you can browse the forums entirely in https. I'll be changing that mismatch in a couple days when I get bored...

We're ... probably too cheap to get an SSL cert signed by a real CA though, since we're not doing anything with money...

As far as only redirecting login traffic onto https, it's possible, but I don't think that anyone really cares enough about it to bother with, given the "too cheap to get a real CA" thing ...

Yeah, it's not really important. I only mentioned it because I actually thought we had https login for a while, and then it disappeared. Looks like I was mistaken.
