In a way, the story isn't what it used to be, however it's still plenty enjoyable to me. This is dragging a little, but I foresee it ending soon seeing that the anime may catch up to the manga within the next 30 or so episodes. That can either a) end this long arc in the manga and get to some new stuff, or b) turn into the next Full Metal Alchemist and ruin the whole story. But then again, the inclusion of Ririn and Cloud have pretty much hurt the story as a whole in the manga. -_- Although Nova is kickass...

los noches and the rest of Hueco Mundo are pretty big so they can add a little more to draw it out if they have to and I think that the rest of the espada will die in the war arc latter after the Hueco Mundo arc

well, they showed the the guy Ishida and Renji are fighting is evil in a way connected to Neriel, so they can team up and kill both, or switch enemies between them.
