I was shocked at how poorly Tampa Bay defended against the run. That team really lost steam at the end of the season... Eli finally played like a Manning, and that Giants defense is for real. They're considerably lucky to be playing Dallas again, having two games' experience against them already this year. I still don't know if that'll be enough. It'll be a matter of if Romo can move around and buy time... and if more G-secondary like that Webster guy step up... But, I'm still thinking Cowboys

The Seahawks defense can sneak into the Super Bowl... BELIEVE IT! They trounced the Redskins. So much for momentum... I think it's going to be an interesting game against Green Bay.

I saw alot I liked, and alot I didn't like, out of the Jaguars. They can stuff the run, but their secondary really really really almost blew that game for them. Their running game and Garrard's precision give them a legit shot at the Pats, but I think Brady will swiss-cheese them up in the passing game...

Lastly, I expect Indy to snuff out the Chargers.

Wow, the best chance at anyone keeping the Pats out of the Superbowl is gone because your Chargers certainly can't do it. Anyway more importantly the other Manning did it, they beat the Cowboys and the trend continues, two division winners coming off the bye go down. Anyway the Giants, my second fav, team are rolling and next week's collision in GB will be epic. Speaking of GB that game was epic and Grant, damn the dude is a beast.

The NFC Championship, although I feel GB deserves the thought of Eli in the Superbowl is no longer just a fantasy even if Manning v Manning still remains one. Peyton got his ring last year now its little brother's turn. Its so hard to tell who will win the game next week and when looking at the two teams I would pick GB because they are simply the better team and they play with more emotion but I have to pick the Giants for the win. Either way it should be a great game and if anyone could beat the Pats I think it would be GB but I'm hoping the Giants will get another shot at it, because they were oh so close last time.

No matter who wins the NFC game will be riveting and either team should give the Pats a run for their money. Sorry TBC but I don't see anyway SD could beat the Pats unless they score on offense, defense and special teams and I don't think that is going to happen.

How bad is the Chargers QB hurt? With LT out and a 2nd string QB, what hopes do the Bolts have against the Pats?

For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?

Even with them they couldn't beat the Pats and then there is the fact that they aren't the only ones hurt. At the end of the game they were officially listed as questionable but both said they will definitely play next week, while that is likely it remains to be seen.

Speaking of Injuries T.O. did it again. Wow that the dude is amazing really felt sorry for them, because the game really was theirs to win, especially because of how beaten down they looked afterwards but was too busy celebrating the Giants win.

the two games today were something else. I on't think either team has a shot against the Pats, but it was great to see some real dogfights today.

Brandon Jacobs launching the football into the giant play clock past the end zone was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in football. That defense won the game, especially a ravaged secondary.

Yes I have no idea why Jacobs would do something like that. I won't be surprised if they fined him for it. When he did it last week it was okay because he was obviously really emotional and he didn't the playclock then but it appears that he may have planned that beforehand. Now I could certainly see that being described as a prop.

I don't think anyone has much of a shot against the Pats but if any team can put up the points to keep the game close and still have the defense and special teams to slow down the Pats offense its Greenbay. Plus they are the only team I think has the emotion to accomplish something like that. The one and only reason i think the Giants have a chance to beat the Pats is because, although the Pats aren't perfect, you have to play perfect to beat them and thus far the only other team that doesn't have any turnovers in the playoffs is the Giants. So if that keeps up they may have a chance.

    YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS

They did it. After one hell of a game and so many missed opportunities, it took three tries but Tynes finally put it through and The Giants are going to the Superbowl. Absolutely Unbelievable.

So its Giants vs Pats again.

Speaking of the Pats they played and ugly game and performed horribly but SD like I said before just couldn't do it. If the Pats play like they did today and the Giants play like they have been playing we're going to have another Manning hoisting Lombardi's trophy again.

i'd love to say that the Giants have what it takes to bring down the Pats...

I think their defensive line will give Brady a tough day, will certainly shut down Maroney... but they'll have to get pressure on almost every down if they keep their suspect secondary in the game (they looked terrible against the Packers. Those picks were bad balls by Favre as much as they were good defensive plays, and Brady won't be that off).

On offense, I think the Giants will need to run the ball straight ahead with Brandon Jacobs and use Bradshaw on short passes out of the backfield. Toomer needs to have a big game for Eli.

The Packers Giants was a good game, but I couldn't help feel that it wasn't a conference championship level game. Lots of missed opportunities and mental error.

Very true it didn't really feel like a conference championship game but it was most certainly better than the AFC game that was just horrible. Its not that I don't think the Giants have what it takes because I believe they do they will just need some help.

If both teams play good then the Pats will definitely win as GB should have but ever since their encounter with the Colts the Pats have just been skating by. If they can pressure Brady, which is easier said than done and get atleast one turnover then they should win because they will be able to capitalize unlike SD.

I don't know but every time the Pats play they lose more and more of their luster and the converse is true for the Giants. Honestly I think the Giants have a much better chance of beating the Pats now than they did at the end of the season and that game came down to 3 points. I thought the Pats would blow out SD but that didn't happen if SD had scored a touchdown on only one if its redzone possessions it would have been a completely different game.

So at this point I'm not really giving the Pats, or The Giants for that matter, any credit for what they have previously done because now none of that really matters. I'm concerned that the Giants have a bye week though because the extra time could be trouble.

Give credit where credits due. The Charger's defense played great. But ya, the Pats won and they deserved it. I wish the Giants all the luck in the world. I still love my Chargers, and couldnt be more proud of them. See ya in 2008-2009.

Oh I give alot of credit to the Chargers defense they do the impossible, they make teams that never turn over the ball look look like fools and they were pressuring Brady like they were his in laws but as I said above their offense just couldn't capitalize.

I mean three interceptions and four trips to the red zone and they only got 12 points that is just inexcusable, their defense must have been horrified because they did exactly what they had to do, the offense just failed.

Congrats to the Pats. YAY! Poor LT. Couldn't see him cry because of his helmet.

And congrats to the Giants. The Packers deserved to lose after playing such a horrible game. To be honest, the Packers were never anything impressive anyway, but it was fun watching their games because Favre always gets one of those bombs off for a TD.

If you look at the Packers, all the Giants had to do was shut down their deep threats and then they are left with a running game that didn't work too well and nothing but horrible unorganized screen passes. Everytime they did a screen play, the reciever had like 1 blocker trying to block 3-4 guys coming at him. lol...

Makes you think back about the season...... How did the Packers make it so far? Favre and his bombs of course.

Favre reverts back to his old self of SUCK and you are left with a mediocre team.

Anyways, the Patriots pretty much have this game against the Giants. They just need to keep an eye on Burress. If he's matched up with Hobbs there could be some trouble for the Pats. Other than that, Pats just have to play like they've been playing in the beginning of the season.

Thing is they haven't played like that since the beginning of the season. Yeah the Packers performed badly but don't insult Favre, he is great QB one of the best of all time and the team isn't mediocre either they just had a bad day.

If they were as bad as you claim they wouldn't have gotten as far as one game away from the Superbowl. I must however throw in a random comment about you sticking to the Flaming Pit.

You douche, the man is injured. He got hurt in his first play with the ball. Do you have any idea how hard it is to sit back and know that you cant contribute to the team? Look, im not gonna sit here and make excuses for my team. But you dont have to bitch, and make fun of them since they lost. They entered a hostile environment, their 3 main players injured, in weather that their not used to playing in and they did a good job.

And what the hell are you insulting Farve for? The man is a legend, he brought a lot to this sport. All atheletes have their off days, give him a break. Hes freaken 38 years old, and playing at the level he is says alot about him.

    Edit: I like L.T's helmet

LT at his best. (And yes, that is from last season.)

And who cares if they entered a "hostile" environment. You have players such as that russian guy or whatever saying "Trust me, the Patriots are more worried than we are." and then get served. You deserve to be made fun of.

The Patriots have been playing sucky ever since the Eagles game. But they still pulled through. They are definteily a good team. The Packers... They are nothing without their throwing game.

Granted my team likes to talk. But thats how we fire ourselves up, thats the only way we know how to. And as to that picture, LT was pissed because he felt his teammate was being insulted. That "mock" lights-out dance was lame, and LT stood up for his teammate.

That applies to the Patriots too, Marony has grown but hes no, LT or Adrian Peterson.

Who got served. SD's defense had their way with the Pats offense, The Chargers offense were just limited obviously because they missing some key pieces namely LT who would have been the difference in the game and even the offensive players they had were playing hurt.

LT's emotional so what, its a good thing to know that he takes what he does seriously and personally and his response to what happened was exactly right and SD is one of the few teams in the league who talk and can actually back up their words and I like that.

First you insult Favre and the Packers, now you attack SD and LT. Its pretty obvious you know nothing about Football, I can't even be sure that you know anything about anything though you apparently have a PhD in douche.

Patriots offense were just limited obviously because Brady had an off game. His precision would have been the difference in the game.

No, the chargers are all talk. Phillip Rivers is all talk. Horrible QB. I never laughed so hard when his one teammate, I forget who, was saying "Phillip Rivers is one of the greatest teammates ever, he's one of the best players I have ever seen play" or something along those lines. LOL!!!!

I agree though, LT does have a big impact on the team, but nontheless he is still a cry baby.

American football - a game played by two teams of 11 players on a rectangular field 100 yards long; teams try to get possession of the ball and advance it across the opponents goal line in a series of (running or passing) plays.

Apparently I don't know football because I don't agree with you.

As for the pit, you're the one who is actually flaming. All I'm doing is insulting a couple teams and some players. It's not directed towards anyone.

I agree had a bit of a off day, but like been saying, GIVE CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE.
The Chargers are #1 in the league at forcing turnovers, 48 in this season. Due the math thats an average of 3 per game. THATS A LOT, in a football game.

As for the Chargers, I agree that they like to talk, as a SD fan its one of the few things about them I DO NOT LIKE(there I admit that). But its bs to say they are all talk. How the hell else did they get to the AFC Championship!??!?!

Philip Rivers is NOT a horrible QB, and he is NOT all talk. Unless I went blind and didnt see the same game as you did, he went tooth and nail with both Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. I admit Philip Rivers is not as good as these two and many others for that matter but hes in his freaken 2nd year as QB. And IMO this is really the first time in his so far short career where SD has really experimented with him by giving him the ball, and so far im seeing results. Not many QBs out there will go out there in the freezing weather, with 2 bad knees and played as well as he did. Yes the Chargers lost, as part of the team he losses too, but going as fas to say that hes a "Horrible QB" is horse shit. Hes young and hes getting better there is absolutely no doubt about that the second half of this season as well as his playoff performance is proof enough of that. I cant wait to see what he'll do next year.

Also about LT being a cry baby:
1)Being offended when his teammate is being made fun of
2)Supporting his QB when his QB is receiving criticism
3)Playing a playoff game partially injured then making the selfless decision of agreeing to let Micheal Turner play

If these are what you believe are characteristics of a crybaby, then ya, im glad hes a crybaby. He knows the meaning of "taking one for the team."

Granted, I was also one of those people who laughed when TO cried in support of Tony Romo, but at the same time I gained a lot of respect for TO. Same here, I gained a lot of respect for LT recognizing that he would be detrimental to his team and letting Micheal Turner play in his stead. And dont give me that bs that he mislead everyone by saying he was "90%" he reinjured it on the 1st play he had the ball. The other plays were just to see if he could continue, he judged that he couldnt.

As for flaming, since when were the fans never part of the team???? You insult my team, you insult my favorite players, calling them crybabies and all talk, your insulting my town and me.

You are flaming. Like Abdula said: Keep it in the Flame pit.
