Well, no one actually knew Goku was an alien until Dragonball Z, so if it doesn't come up in this movie, then I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Also there is that picture of Goku's "transformed" state. I think it's likely that his being an alien will be addressed.
But man...why "Evolution"??

I think that the level of criticism around more than evens out any hype the movie might have.

I don't think it's getting that much hype. mostly only in the japanese/otaku scene I guess. most people I talk with irl about it don't know about it, or if they do only know that it's a live action dragonball movie, nothing more.I just realized that there is way too much hype going into this movie.

That Bulma is beautiful. I like how they used Bulma's anime hair color in the actresses' make-up. XD

The fighting and graphics look worth it in the trailer, but if the graphics are poorly done it can come off as cheesy and abused. I can't really tell from the trailer, because of course the trailer is probably better than the movie as usual...
What I also can't tell from the trailer: Is this a serious toned movie that can perhaps actually pull off the bad cliche plot, or is this a kid's movie that will totally succumb to cheesyness and fail in both tone and plot?
It's funny because all of the characters seem calm and perhaps bored, instead of the expected "I'M NARUTO EXCITED TO SAVE THE WORLD BELIEVE IT" tone. I just pray this is better than Hercules/Xena, warrior princess.

Back to topic--> That Dragonball blog has a new picture of Bulma on her bike. The actress playing Bulma is gorgeous but I wonder if she can pull off Bulma's feisty, sassy attitude.
